For this first method, you will need some ammonia. Below, we have listed the steps you need to follow in order to clean your AEG oven racks with ammonia…
Step 1: Open the oven door.
Step 2: Slide out the racks in the oven and set them aside.
Step 3: Shut the oven door.
Step 4: Get a large plastic bag.
Step 5: Place the racks in the plastic bag.
Step 6: Pour some ammonia into the bag. Do not pour in too much.
Step 7: Tie the bag up and place it outside.
Step 8: Leave the racks in the bag overnight.
Step 9: The next day, put on some gloves and untie the bag.
Step 10: Take out the racks from bag. Make sure you don’t get the ammonia on your skin.
Step 11: Wipe off the dirt from the racks using a sponge.
Step 12: Place the racks in a bowl of warm soapy water to get rid of the ammonia residue.
Step 13: Rinse the racks.
Step 14: Place the racks on a towel to dry.
Step 15: Once the racks are dry, return them to the oven.

For this second method, you will need some dishwasher tabs. To clean your AEG oven racks using dishwasher tabs, follow the steps listed below…
Step 1: Get a large bin.
Step 2: Open the oven door.
Step 3: Slide out the racks in the oven.
Step 4: Shut the door.
Step 5: Drop three dishwasher tabs into the bin.
Step 6: Dissolve the tabs with some hot water.
Step 7: Place the racks in the bin.
Step 8: Submerge the racks in the hottest water possible.
Step 9: Leave the racks in the water for three hours. If your oven racks are extremely dirty, leave them overnight.
Step 10: Afterwards, take out the racks from the water.
Step 11: Scrub the racks with a sponge.
Step 12: Rinse the racks and place them on a towel to dry.
Step 13: Once the racks are dry, slide them back into the oven.

Step 7: Wrap the racks completely in the clingfilm. Wear a glove as you do this so that you don’t get the cleaner on your skin.
Step 8: Leave the racks for a few hours. If the racks are extremely dirty, leave them overnight.
Step 9: Afterwards, put on some gloves.
Step 10: Unwrap the clingfilm from the racks.
Step 11: Wipe the grime off the racks using a soft sponge.
Step 12: Place the racks in a bowl of warm soapy water to get rid of the oven cleaner residue.
Step 13: Rinse the racks and place them on a towel to dry.
Step 14: Once they are dry, return them to the oven.
