Step 1: Pull the oven away from the wall.
Step 2: Unplug the oven’s power cord from the outlet or switch the circuit breaker off.
Step 3: Open the door of your Amana oven.
Step 4: Get a flat blade screwdriver and use it to flip the locks on the door hinges towards yourself.
Step 5: Close the door till you feel the locks engage.

Step 11: Set the top cap aside.

Step 14: Lift the metal panel up and remove the door hinges.
Step 15: Get new Amana oven door hinges.
Step 16: Lift the metal panel up and position the door hinges underneath it.
Step 17: Reposition the inner door panel.
Step 18: Return the two side trims.
Step 19: Return the screws at the bottom of the door which hold the trim piece and door hinges in place.
Step 20: Hold the door hinges in place with the six screws on the sides of the oven door.
Step 21: Reposition the oven’s top cap and hold it in place with the two screws.
Step 22: Lift the oven door.
Step 23: Insert the hinges into the slots in the sides of the oven’s frame.

Step 25: Flip the hinge locks back.

Step 27: Plug the oven’s power cord back in or switch the circuit breaker back on.

Step 1: Pull the oven away from the wall.
Step 2: Unplug the oven’s power cord from the outlet.

How To Replace Amana Oven Door Handle

Step 1: Pull the oven away from the wall.

Step 2: Open the oven door.
Step 3: Flip the latches on the door hinges forward using a flat head screwdriver.
Step 4: Push the door closed till it stops.

2. Inner Glass
Below, we have listed the steps to follow in order to replace the inner door glass of your Amana oven…
Step 1: Pull the oven away from the wall.
Step 2: Disconnect the oven’s power cord from the outlet.
Step 3: Open the door of the oven.
Step 4: Get a flat blade screwdriver.
Step 5: Using the flat blade screwdriver, flip the latches on the hinges forward to release the door.
Step 6: Push the door closed till it can’t go any further.
Step 7: Grip the sides of the oven door.
Step 8: Lift the door off and set it on a sturdy surface lined with a cloth.
Step 9: Using a Philips head screwdriver, take out the screws at the top of the door which hold the trim and handle in place.
Step 10: Now take out the other screws at the bottom of the door which hold the bottom trim in place.
Step 11: Remove the trim and set it aside.
Step 12: Slide the outer glass off the door assembly and set it aside.
Step 13: Now, remove the top trim and door handle. If there are other screws holding the top trim and handle to the oven door, take them out using a Philips head screwdriver.
Step 14: Lift the top trim assembly off and set it aside.
Step 15: Next, take out the Philips head screws which hold the inner glass’s metal support panel in place. There are about six screws.
Step 16: Put on some gloves for safety.
Step 17: Lift the metal support panel and set it aside.
Step 18: Now, lift out the inner door glass, or the remains of it, from the door assembly.
Step 19: Using a flat blade screwdriver, bend back the tab which secures the surrounding metal panel of the inner glass. Be careful as you do this.
Step 20: Remove the remains of the glass from the surrounding panel and discard.
Step 21: Get a new Amana oven inner door glass.
Step 22: Position the surrounding metal panel on the new door glass.
Step 23: Bend back the metal tab to hold the glass in place.
Step 24: Lift the inner glass and position it on the oven door assembly.
Step 25: Reposition the support panel over the glass.
Step 26: Hold the metal support panel in place with the Philips head screws.
Step 27: Position the top cap and handle on the oven door.
Step 28: Hold the top cap in place with the screws.
Step 29: Tuck the side brackets of the door under the top cap.
Step 30: Slide the outer glass back onto the door assembly.
Step 31: Return the oven’s bottom trim.
Step 32: Hold the bottom trim in place with the Philips head screws.
Step 33: Lift the oven door.
Step 34: Insert the hinges into the slots in the sides of the oven’s frame.
Step 35: Open the oven door fully.
Step 36: Flip the hinge latches back and shut the oven door.
Step 37: Plug the oven’s power cord back in.
Step 38: Push the oven back to the wall.
