Step 1: Open the oven door.

Step 2: Place your food in the oven.

Step 5: Choose one of the three grilling levels using the “+” and “-” buttons.

Step 6: Press the “Start” button.

Step 7: After grilling open the door of the oven and take your food out.

1. Grill Element

If your Bosch oven grill won’t work, the grill element is most likely faulty. Below, we have listed the steps you need to follow in order to replace your Bosch oven grill element…

Step 1: Locate the oven’s circuit breaker.

Step 2: Switch the circuit breaker off to avoid the risk of electrocution.

Step 3: Open the door of the oven.

Step 4: Slide out the oven racks.

Step 5: Using a Philips head screwdriver, take out the screws on the sides of the oven frame which hold it to the cabinet.

Step 6: Lift the oven out of the cabinet.

Step 7: Set the oven on a sturdy surface.

Step 8: Go to the oven’s rear and take out the screws which hold the panel in place.

Step 9: Lift the panel off and set it aside.

Step 10: The grill element terminals are on the upper rear of the oven. Disconnect the wires connected to the terminals.

Step 11: Peel back the insulation and take out the screws which hold the grill element in place.

Step 12: If your oven’s light bulb is located at the top of the oven interior, unscrew the cover and bulb to prevent them from getting damaged.

Step 13: Take out the screws which hold the grill to the top of the oven.

Step 14: Support the oven’s top panel and pull out the grill element.

Step 15: Get a new grill element.

Step 16: Position the new grill element in the oven and return the screws which hold it in place.

Step 17: Screw the light bulb and light cover back into place.

Step 18: Go to the oven’s rear.

Step 19: Return the other screws which hold the oven’s grill element in place.

Step 20: Reconnect the wires to the terminals of the grill element.

Step 21: Reposition the oven’s back panel and hold it in place with the screws.

Step 22: Lift the oven up and push it back into the cabinet.

Step 23: Slide the racks back into the oven.

Step 24: Secure the sides of the oven to the cabinet using the screws.

Step 25: Shut the door of the oven.

Step 26: Switch the oven’s circuit breaker back on.

2. Burnt Wires

If the grill element still doesn’t work after replacing it, you should inspect the wires connected to it. Remove the oven’s back panel and inspect the wires. If the wires appear burnt or damaged in any way, they may be the cause of the problem. Contact a technician to fix the wires.

3. Control Board

This is the final possible reason why your Bosch oven grill won’t work. The control board sends voltage to the grill element. So, if it fails, the grill element won’t receive the voltage it needs to work. Step 1: Take out the grill from the oven.

Step 2: Get an oven cleaner.

Step 3: Put on some gloves.

Step 4: With your face at a distance, spray the grill tray.

Step 5: Leave the cleaner to sit on the tray for a few hours. If your grill tray is extremely dirty, it would be best to leave it overnight.
