Step 1: First locate the oven’s circuit breaker.

Step 4: Take out the racks and set them aside.
Step 5: Unscrew the light bulb cover from the oven’s back wall.

Step 1: Locate the oven’s circuit breaker.
Step 2: For safety, switch off the oven’s circuit breaker.
Step 3: Open the door of the oven.
Step 4: Slide out the racks and set them aside.
Step 5: Unscrew the light bulb cover.
Step 6: Unscrew the light bulb itself.
Step 7: If your oven is installed to a cabinet, you will need to uninstall it. Using a Philips head screwdriver, take out the screws on the sides of the oven which hold it to the cabinet.
Step 8: Lift the oven out of the cabinet.
Step 9: Using the Philips head screwdriver, take out the screws which hold the oven’s back panel in place.
Step 10: If you have a wall oven and not a range oven, take out the screws which hold the top panel in place as well.
Step 11: Lift the panel or panels off and set aside.

Step 13: Test the light socket for continuity using a multimeter. If there is no continuity, the light socket is faulty and should be replaced.
Step 14: Depress the tabs on the light socket and push it out of the oven.

Step 4: Lift the panel out of the oven.
Step 5: The igniter is on the right side of the burner tube and is held with two screws. Take out the two screws using a Torx screwdriver.
Step 6: Pull the igniter forward.
Step 7: Snip the wires as close to the igniter as possible using a wire stripper.
Step 8: Get a new igniter.
Step 9: Strip about 1/4 to 1/2 an inch of the wires in the oven.
Step 10: Secure the wires in the oven to the igniter wires using ceramic wire nuts. Do not use plastic wire nuts.
Step 11: Screw the igniter back to the burner tube.
Step 12: Reposition the oven’s bottom panel and hold it in place with the screws.
Step 13: Return the racks to the oven.
