1. Bake Element

Below, we have listed the steps you need to follow in order to replace the bake element in an Electrolux range oven…

Step 1: Pull the oven away from the wall.

Step 2: Unplug the oven’s power cord from the outlet.

Step 3: Open the door of the oven.

Step 4: Using a Philips head screwdriver, take out the two screws which hold the hinges to the oven door.

Step 5: Close the door till it’s slightly open then lift it off and set aside on a cloth lined surface.

Step 6: Slide out the oven racks and set them aside.

Step 7: Take out the two screws on the oven’s back wall which hold the bake element in place.

Step 8: Pull the bake element forward.

Step 9: Disconnect the wires from the terminals of the bake element using a pair of needle nose pliers.

Step 10: Remove the bake element.

Step 11: Get a new bake element.

Step 12: Connect the wires of the bake element.

Step 13: Push the element in and hold it in place with the two screws.

Step 14: Slide the racks back into the oven.

Step 15: Lift the oven door and position it back on the hinges.

Step 17: Return the two screws which hold the hinges to the oven door.

Step 18: Shut the door of the oven.

Step 1: Locate the oven’s circuit breaker.

Step 2: Switch the circuit breaker off to avoid the risk of electrocution.

Step 3: Open the door of the oven.

Step 4: Flip the locks on the door hinges forward.

Step 5: Close the door till it can’t go any further then lift it off.

Step 6: Slide out the oven racks and set them aside.

Step 7: Using a Torx bit, take out the four screws which hold the oven interior’s back wall in place.

Step 8: Set the back panel aside.

Step 9: Take out the two screws which hold the element to the oven’s back wall.

Step 10: Pull the element out and disconnect the wires from the terminals.

Step 11: Get a new element.

Step 12: Connect the wires to the terminals of the new element.

Step 13: Push the element in and secure it with the two screws.

Step 14: Reposition the oven’s back panel and hold it in place with the four screws.

Step 15: Slide the racks back into the oven.

Step 17: Insert the door hinges back into the slots on the sides of the oven.

Step 18: Fully open the oven door and flip the door hinges back.

1. Radiant Element

Below, we have listed the steps you need to follow in order to replace the radiant element of your Electrolux stove top…

Step 1: Pull the oven away from the wall.

Step 2: Open the door of your Electrolux oven and look under the stove top.

Step 3: Using a Philips head screwdriver, take out the screws underneath the stove top which hold it in place.

Step 4: Pull the stove top towards yourself and disconnect the wires at the rear.

Step 5: Lift the stove top and support with a sturdy piece of wood.

Step 6: Mark the holes where the tabs of the element you want to replace go. You can do this with a marker or pencil.

Step 7: Take out the screws which hold the element mounting bracket in place.

Step 8: Lower the bracket.

Step 9: Using a pair of needle nose pliers, disconnect the wires from the terminals of the element. Make sure to note where each one goes by taking a picture.

Step 10: Squeeze and push the element tabs to release the element from the mounting bracket.

Step 11: Get a new element.

Step 12: Mark where the tabs are on the old element to install them properly on the new one.

Step 13: Unscrew the tabs from the old element and position them on the new one.

Step 14: Secure them with the screws.

Step 15: Position the element on the mounting bracket making sure the tabs go into the holes you marked.

Step 16: Reconnect the wires to the element making sure each one goes to the right place.

Step 17: Reposition the mounting bracket on the stove top and secure with the screws.

Step 18: Remove the piece of wood and lower the stove top.

Step 19: Reconnect the wire plugs.

Step 20: Push the stove top back and secure underneath with the screws.

Step 21: Shut the oven door.

Step 22: Plug the oven’s power cord back in.

2. Element Switch

If your Electrolux stove top element still doesn’t work after replacing it, the element switch is most likely faulty. Below are the steps you need to follow in order to replace your Electrolux stove top element switch…

Step 1: Pull the oven away from the wall.

Step 2: Unplug the oven’s power cord from the outlet to avoid the risk of electrocution.

Step 3: Pull off the control knob of the faulty burner.

Step 4: Using a Philips head screwdriver, take out the two screws which hold the element switch in place.

Step 5: Go to the oven’s rear.

Step 6: Using a quarter inch nut driver, take out the screws which hold the oven’s upper rear panel in place.

Step 7: Set the panel aside.

Step 8: Get a new element switch.

Step 9: Disconnect the wires from the element switch and connect them to the new element switch making sure each one goes to the right place.

Step 10: Reposition the element switch and hold it in place with the two screws.

Step 11: Push the oven control knob back onto the shaft.

Step 12: Reposition the oven’s upper back panel and secure it with the screws.

Step 13: Plug the oven’s power cord back in.
