Step 1: Turn on your oven.

Step 2: Press the “Broil” button.

Step 3: Input your desired temperature.

Step 4: Press the “Start” button.

Step 5: Leave the oven to heat up for about 5-10 minutes.

Step 6: Once the oven is hot enough, open the door and place your food on the rack. Make sure the rack is on the second or third position

Step 7: Shut the door.

Step 8: Once you are done broiling, take out your food and turn the oven off.

1. Broil Element

If your electric Electrolux oven grill is not working, the broil element is probably faulty. Below, we have listed the steps you need to follow in order to replace the broil element in an Electrolux oven…

Step 1: Pull the oven away from the wall.

Step 2: Unplug the oven’s power cord from the outlet.

Step 3: Open the door of the oven.

Step 4: Slide out the oven racks and set them aside.

Step 5: Using a Philips head screwdriver, take out the two screws which hold the hinges to the oven door.

Step 6: Close the door till it’s partially open.

Step 7: Lift the door off the hinges and set it aside on a cloth lined surface.

Step 8: Using a quarter inch nut driver, take out the screws on the oven’s top wall which hold the support brackets of the broil element in place.

Step 9: Take out the other two screws on the oven’s upper back wall securing the broil element as well.

Step 10: Pull the broil element forward.

Step 11: Using a pair of needle nose pliers, disconnect the wires from the terminals of the broil element.

Step 12: Get a multimeter and turn the dial to the ohms setting.

Step 13: Touch the multimeter probes to the terminals of the broil element. If the broil element has continuity, it’s still good. If it doesn’t have continuity, it is faulty and should be replaced.

Step 14: Get a new broil element.

Step 15: Connect the wires to the broil element terminals.

Step 16: Push the element in and return the two screws which secure it.

Step 17: Reposition the element’s support bracket and secure them with the screws.

Step 18: Slide the racks back into the oven.

Step 19: Lift the oven door and position it back on the hinges.

Step 20: Open the door and return the screws which hold the hinges to it.

Step 21: Shut the oven door.

Step 22: Plug the oven back in and return it to its usual position.

2. Igniter
