Electrolux Oven Fan Noise — How To Fix

If your Electrolux oven convection fan keeps making noise, the motor has started to fail. To fix this issue, the fan motor will need to be replaced. Below, we show you how to replace an Electrolux oven convection fan motor…

Step 1: Pull the oven away from the wall and unplug the power cord from the outlet.

Step 2: Open the door of the oven.

Step 3: Slide out the oven racks and set them aside.

Step 4: Flip the locks on the oven door hinges using a flat head screwdriver.

Step 5: Close the door till it can’t go any further then lift it off.

Step 6: Set the door aside on a cloth lined surface.

Step 7: Take out the screws on the back wall which hold the oven’s fan blade cover in place.

Step 8: Using an adjustable wrench, take out the nut which holds the fan blade in place by turning it clockwise.

Step 9: Slide the fan blade off the motor shaft.

Step 10: Go to the oven’s rear.

Step 11: Using a quarter inch nut driver, take out the screws which hold the oven’s upper back panel in place.

Step 12: Also take out the screws which hold the lower back panel in place.

Step 13: Set the panels aside.

Step 14: Disconnect the wires from the fan motor.

Step 15: Take out the screws which hold the fan motor in place.

Step 16: Get a new fan motor.

Step 17: Position the new fan motor in the oven.

Step 18: Secure the fan motor to the oven with the screws.

Step 19: Connect the wires to the new fan motor.

Step 20: Slide the fan blade back onto the motor shaft.

Step 21: Return the nut which holds the fan blade in place.

Step 22: Reposition the fan cover and hold it in place with the screws.

Step 23: Slide the racks back into the oven.

Step 24: Lift the oven door.

Step 25: Position the door hinges back into the slots in the sides of the oven frame.

Step 26: Open the door fully.

Step 27: Flip the hinge locks back to hold the door in place.

Step 28: Close the door of the oven.

Step 29: Go to the oven’s rear.

Step 30: Reposition the upper and lower back panels of the oven.

Step 31: Hold the panels in place with the screws.

Step 32: Plug the oven’s power cord back into the outlet.

Step 33: Push the oven back to the wall.
