Electrolux Oven Not Preheating — How To Fix
Below, we have listed the possible reasons why your Electrolux oven won’t preheat and what to do about them.
1. Bake Element
If your Electrolux oven is electric and it won’t preheat, the bake element has probably failed. Follow these steps to replace the bake element in an Electrolux oven…
Step 1: Unplug the oven or switch the breaker off.
Step 2: Open the oven door and remove the racks.
Step 3: Flip the locks on the door hinges towards yourself using a flat head screwdriver.
Step 4: If there are screws on the oven door close to the hinges, take them out.
Step 5: Close the door till it’s partially open then lift it off and set on a cloth lined surface.
Step 6: Remove the screws holding the bake element to the oven using a quarter inch nut driver. There are two screws.
Step 7: Pull the element forward then disconnect the wires. Make sure the wires don’t fall through the holes.
Step 8: Get a replacement element and take it to the oven.
Step 9: Connect the wires to the bake element.
Step 10: Push the element in and hold it in place with the two screws.
Step 11: Return the oven racks.
Step 12: Lift the oven door and position the hinges back into the slots.
Step 13: Flip the hinge locks back.
Step 14: If you took out any screws from the oven door, return them.
Step 15: Shut the oven door.
Step 16: Reconnect the power to the oven.

2. Igniter
If your Electrolux oven uses gas and it doesn’t preheat, the igniter has probably failed. To replace the igniter in your Electrolux oven, simply follow the steps listed below…
Step 1: Disconnect the power to the oven by unplugging the power cord or switch the circuit breaker off.
Step 2: Shut off the oven’s gas supply.
Step 3: Open the oven door and flip the locks on the hinges forward with a flat head screwdriver.
Step 4: Close the door till it stops then lift it off and set aside on a cloth lined surface.
Step 5: Remove the racks in the oven.
Step 6: Use the flat head screwdriver to remove the screws which hold the oven’s bottom panel in place.
Step 7: Remove the panel from the oven.
Step 8: Take out the screws which hold the heat shield in the oven using a quarter inch nut driver.
Step 9: Remove the shield and pull out the bottom drawer.
Step 10: Set the two aside.
Step 11: Look underneath the oven, you will see the igniter wire plug on the left upper corner. Disconnect it.
Step 12: Take out the quarter inch screws which hold the igniter to the burner tube.
Step 13: Remove the igniter and get a replacement.
Step 14: Secure the new igniter to the tube with the screws.
Step 15: Reconnect the igniter wire plug.
Step 16: Position the oven’s bottom drawer on the rails and slide it back in.
Step 17: Reposition the heat shield and secure with the quarter inch screws.
Step 18: Return the oven’s bottom panel and the screws which secure it.
Step 19: Slide the racks back into the oven.
Step 20: Lift the oven door.
Step 21: Insert the hinges into the slots on the sides of the oven.
Step 22: Fully open the oven door and flip the hinge locks back.
Step 23: Shut the oven door.
Step 24: Plug the oven’s power cord back in or switch the circuit breaker back on.

3. Control Board
