The Turntable Motor

The first and most likely reason your Frigidaire microwave is not turning may be because of a faulty motor. To test and replace the turntable motor in a Frigidaire microwave, follow the steps listed below…

Step 1: Unplug the microwave.

Step 2: Take out all the screws which hold the bottom panel of the microwave in place.

Step 3: Disconnect the light wire connector in order to fully remove the bottom panel.

Step 4: Disconnect the wire connector connected to the turntable motor.

Step 5: Take out the two screws which hold the turntable motor to the microwave.

Step 6: Remove the turntable motor.

Step 8: Screw the new turntable motor into place.

Step 9: Reconnect the turntable motor wire connector.

Step 10: Return the bottom panel.

Step 11: Reconnect the LED wire connector.

Step 12: Secure the bottom panel with the screws.

Step 13: Plug the microwave back in.

The Coupler

Another thing to make your Frigidaire microwave turntable stop turning is a damaged drive coupler. Open the microwave door and take out the glass tray and support. Pull the drive coupler out and inspect it for any type of damage. If the coupler is cracked or melted in any way, replace it.

The Glass Tray Support

Open the microwave door and take out the glass tray. Inspect the support for damage. If the glass tray support is damaged in any way, replace it.
