Step 1: Switch off the oven’s circuit breaker.
Step 2: Pull the oven away from the wall.
Step 3: Take out the quarter inch screws which hold the oven’s lower back panel in place. There should be six screws.
Step 4: Remove the panel.
Step 5: You will see the thermal fuse close to the bake or broil element terminals. Disconnect the wires connected to it.
Step 6: Using a multimeter, test the fuse for continuity. If there is no continuity, the fuse should be replaced.
Step 7: Get a new thermal fuse.
Step 8: Unscrew the old thermal thermal fuse.
Step 9: Screw the new thermal fuse to the oven.
Step 10: Connect the wires to the terminals of the thermal fuse.
Step 11: Reposition the back panel on the oven.
Step 12: Hold the panel in place with the six screws.
Step 13: Push the oven back to the wall.
Step 14: Switch the oven’s circuit breaker back on.
