This method is as effective as using ammonia. However, if you are sensitive to chemicals, do not use this method as oven cleaners smell strongly of chemicals. To clean your oven racks with an oven cleaner, follow the steps listed below…

Step 1: Take out the racks from the oven.

Step 2: Line a tray with some clingfilm. Make sure the clingfilm is large enough to wrap the racks.

Step 3: Spray some oven cleaner on the clingfilm.

Step 4: Place the racks on the lined tray.

Step 5: Spray some more oven cleaner over the racks.
