How To Replace A Frigidaire Oven Temperature Sensor

Step 1: Pull the oven away from the wall and turn it around.

Step 2: Unplug the oven’s power cord.

Step 3: Take out the screw under the oven’s rear panel using a quarter inch nut driver.

Step 4: Take out the other screws which hold the oven’s lower back panel with the same nut driver.

Step 5: Set the panel aside.

Step 6: The sensor is on the right side. Disconnect the wire plug from the sensor.

Step 7: Take out the two screws which secure the temperature sensor to the oven’s rear.

Step 8: Pull out the sensor from the oven.

Step 9: Get a replacement temperature sensor.

Step 10: Push the new sensor into the oven.

Step 11: Secure the sensor to the oven’s rear using the two screws.

Step 12: Connect the wire plug back to the sensor.

Step 13: Reposition the back panel.

Step 14: Secure the back panel with the six screws.

Step 15: Return the other screw under the panel.

Step 2: Open the door of the oven.

Step 3: Pull out the ends of the door seal at the bottom of the door.

Step 1: Pull the oven away from the wall.

Step 4: Push the lock on each door hinge down with a flat head screwdriver.

Step 5: Close the door till it stops.

Step 6: Lift the door off and set it on a towel lined surface. Do not lift the door off by the handle.

Step 7: Take out the two Philips head screws which hold the door handle in place.

Step 8: Set the door handle aside.

Step 9: Take out the other Philips head screws at the bottom of the oven which hold the outer door to the inner one.

Step 10: Lift the inner door off the outer one.

Step 11: Take out the screws on the sides of the door which hold the door hinges in place.

Step 12: Remove the door hinges and get replacements.

Step 13: Screw each door hinge into place.

Step 14: Place the inner door back on the outer one.

Step 15: Return the screws at the bottom of the door which secure it.

Step 16: Position the handle back on the door.

Step 17: Secure the handle to the door using the two screws.

Step 18: Lift the door.

Step 19: Align the door hinges into the slots in the oven frame.

Step 21: Push the locks on each door hinge back.

Step 22: Shut the door.
