Step 1: Unplug the oven from the outlet.
Step 2: Open the oven door and flip the hinge locks.
Step 3: Lift the door off the oven.
Step 4: Place the door assembly on a flat and sturdy surface with the door handle down.
Step 5: Loosen the two screws at the top sides of the oven door.
Step 6: Take out the three screws at the bottom of the door.
Step 7: Lift off the inner door.
Step 8: Take out the two screws on each side of the door trim.
Step 9: Remove the glass or the remains from the door trim.
Step 10: Get a new oven door glass.
Step 11: Align the door trim on the glass.
Step 12: Secure the trim to the glass using the two screws.
Step 13: Reposition the inner door.
Step 14: Tighten the two screws at the top of the door.
Step 15: Return the other three screws at the bottom of the door.
Step 16: Lift the oven door assembly and position it on the receptacles.
Step 17: Lower the oven door and flip back the hinge locks to hold it in place.
Step 18: Close the door and plug the oven back into the outlet.

If your GE oven door won’t close completely, you will need to replace the door hinge. To replace the door hinge of a GE oven, follow the steps listed below…
Step 1: Unplug the oven. Always follow this step before performing a repair on any electrical appliance.
Step 2: Open the door of the oven and flip the clips on the hinges.
Step 3: Lift the door up from the oven.
Step 4: Place the door assembly on a flat and sturdy surface lined with a towel or cloth.
Step 5: Take out the three screws on each side of the door which secure the door hinges.
Step 6: Take out the other three screws at the bottom of the door.
Step 7: Lift the inner door up and remove the door hinges.
Step 8: Get new door hinges and position them on the door.
Step 9: Lower the inner door and return the three screws underneath the door.
Step 10: Return the three screws which secure the hinges on each side of the oven door.
Step 11: Position the oven door back and lower it.

If your GE oven door still won’t close all the way after replacing the hinges, the seal is most likely faulty. Follow these steps to replace the seal or gasket of your GE oven door…
Step 1: First, unplug the oven for safety.
Step 2: Open the oven door and flip the latches on the hinges forward to release. There is one latch on each hinge.
Step 3: Close the door till it stops moving, then lift it off the oven. Make sure you don’t grip the door by the handle.
Step 4: Set the door on a sturdy surface lined with a cloth.
Step 5: Pull out the ends of the gasket from the holes in the bottom of the door.
Step 6: Also pull out the gasket clips from the holes as well to fully remove it from the door.
Step 7: Get a new GE oven door gasket.
Step 8: Insert the clips on the new gasket into the holes around the door.
Step 9: Push the ends of the gasket into the bottom of the door using a flat blade screwdriver.
Step 10: Lift the door and reposition the hinges in the slots on the sides of the oven.
Step 11: Open the door completely and flip the latches on the hinges back.
Step 12: Shut the door and plug the oven back in.

Step 1: Unplug the oven.
Step 2: Remove the oven door by flipping the hinge locks and lifting it off.
Step 3: Place the door assembly on a towel lined sturdy surface.
Step 4: Loosen the two screws at the top of the door.
Step 5: Take out the other three screws underneath the door assembly.
Step 6: Lift out the inner door assembly.
Step 7: Take out the six screws on the inner door assembly. There will be three screws on each side close to the door hinges. Support the door hinges as you take out the screws.
Step 8: Turn the inner door over.
Step 9: Take out the six screws.
Step 10: Now remove the inner glass or any remains of it.
Step 11: Get a new inner door glass and position it on the door.
Step 12: Hold the glass in place with the six screws.
Step 13: Turn the inner door assembly over again.
Step 14: Return the door hinges and hold them in place with the screws.
Step 15: Reposition the inner door on the outer door.
Step 16: Tighten the two screws at the top of the door and return other three at the bottom.
Step 17: Lift the oven door and reposition it on the oven.
Step 18: Flip the hinge locks and close the door.
Step 19: Plug the oven back in.

How To Clean The Glass Of A GE Oven Door
To clean your GE oven door glass, follow the steps listed below…
Step 1: Mix together some baking soda and water in a bowl to form a paste.
Step 2: Open the oven door and apply the paste on the glass.
Step 3: Leave the paste to sit for about 20 minutes.
Step 4: After 20 minutes, get a soft sponge and scrub the glass.
Step 5: Wipe the glass with a damp cloth.
Step 6: Repeat this process as many times as you need to get rid of the stains.
