How To Remove A GE Range Hood

Step 1: First of all, unplug the appliance.
Step 2: Take out the filters and cover plate of the range hood.
Step 3: Remove the screws which secure the range hood. They will be underneath the hood.

Step 1: First, turn off the circuit breaker.
Step 2: Underneath the range hood, you will see the bulb. Push it in a bit as you turn it.
Step 3: Remove the bulb.
Step 4: Get a new bulb and position it in the hole underneath the range hood.
Step 5: Screw the bulb back in.
Step 6: Switch the circuit breaker on.

The Light Bulb Socket
To replace the light bulb socket in your range hood, follow the steps listed below…
Step 1: Turn off the circuit breaker.
Step 2: Remove the filters underneath the hood.
Step 3: Take out the screws which hold the bottom panel of the hood in place.
Step 4: Remove the bottom panel.
Step 5: Unscrew the light bulb from the socket.
Step 6: Remove the light bulb socket.
Step 7: Test the socket for continuity using a multimeter. If there is no continuity, get a new socket.
Step 8: Install the light socket.
Step 9: Screw the light bulb back to it.
Step 10: Reposition the bottom panel and hold it in place using the screws.
Step 11: Return the filters.
Step 12: Turn the circuit breaker back on.
