Step 2: Open the door of your Gorenje oven.
Step 3: Slide out the two racks in the oven.
Step 4: Set the racks aside.
Step 5: The halogen bulb should be on the right wall of the oven. To access it, you will need to remove the side rack. Lift the side rack up and remove it from the oven.
Step 6: Get a flat blade screwdriver.
Step 7: Using the flat blade screwdriver, carefully pry off cover of the light bulb.
Step 8: Set the cover aside and get a paper towel.
Step 9: Pull off the halogen bulb from the socket using the paper towel.
Step 10: Get a new Gorenje oven light bulb.

Step 12: Reposition the light bulb cover.

Below, we have listed the steps you need to follow in order to replace your Gorenje oven light bulb socket…
Step 1: First, disconnect the oven’s power by unplugging the power cord from the outlet. If your oven isn’t plugged into an outlet, switch the circuit breaker off instead.
Step 2: Next, open the oven door.
Step 3: There is a latch on each door hinge. Flip the latches forward to release the oven door.
Step 4: Close the door till it can’t go any further.
Step 5: Spread a cloth on a sturdy surface.
Step 6: Grip the sides of the oven door and lift it off.
Step 7: Place the oven door assembly on the sturdy cloth lined surface.
Step 8: Slide out the racks in the oven and set them aside.
Step 9: Unscrew the cover of the light bulb.
Step 10: Also unscrew the light bulb from the socket as well.
Step 11: Get a Philips head screwdriver.
Step 12: Using the Philips head screwdriver, take out the screws securing the oven to the cabinet. There are two screws on each side of the oven’s frame. If your oven isn’t installed to a cabinet, skip this step.
Step 13: Lift the oven out of the cabinet.
Step 14: Set the oven on a sturdy surface.
Step 15: Turn the oven around to access the rear.
Step 16: Use the Philips head screwdriver to take out the screws holding the top panel in place. Unscrew the top panel closer to the oven’s rear.
Step 17: Lift the panel off and set it aside.
Step 18: Also take out the screws which hold the oven’s rear panel in place.
Step 19: Set the panel aside.
Step 20: Note where each wire goes on the light socket. Do this by taking a picture.
Step 21: Disconnect the wires from the light socket.
Step 22: Get a multimeter and turn its dial to the lowest ohms setting.
Step 23: Touch the two multimeter probes to the terminals of the light socket. If the multimeter doesn’t show a reading when you do this, it is faulty and should be replaced.
Step 24: Use the flat blade screwdriver to bend back the tabs securing the socket to the oven.
Step 25: While bending back the tabs, push the socket out.
Step 26: Get a new Gorenje oven light socket.
Step 27: Position the new light socket in the oven and push it into place.
Step 28: Connect the wires to the terminals of the new light socket. Make sure that each wire goes to the right place.
Step 29: Reposition the oven’s rear access panel.

Step 38: Lift the oven door.
Step 39: Insert the door hinges into the openings in the corners of the oven’s frame.
Step 40: Once the hinges are properly positioned in the slots, open the oven door fully.
Step 41: Flip the latches on the hinges back to hold the door in place.
Step 42: Shut the door of the oven.
Step 43: Reconnect the power to the oven by plugging the power cord back into the outlet or switching the circuit breaker back on.

Step 1: Disconnect the oven’s power for safety by unplugging the power cord from the outlet. If your oven isn’t plugged into an outlet, switch the circuit breaker off.
Step 2: Open the door of the oven.
Step 3: Slide out the two racks in the oven and set them aside.
Step 4: To make the oven easier to lift out off the cabinet, the door should be uninstalled. To do this, flip the latches on the hinges forward.
Step 5: Close the door till it stops moving.
Step 6: Grip the sides of the oven door and lift it off.
Step 7: Set the door assembly on a sturdy surface lined with a cloth.
Step 8: Lift off and remove the side rack covering the oven’s light bulb.
Step 9: Set the rack aside.
Step 10: Get a flat blade screwdriver.
Step 11: Using the flat blade screwdriver, pry off the light bulb cover.

Step 14: Using the Philips head screwdriver, take out the screws which hold the oven to the cabinet. There are two screws on each side of the oven’s frame.
Step 15: Lift the oven out of the cabinet and set it on a sturdy surface.
Step 16: Use the Philips head screwdriver to take out the screws holding the oven’s top panel in place.
Step 17: Lift the top panel off and set it aside.
Step 18: Unscrew the oven’s right side panel as well.
