Hotpoint Oven Door Handle Loose — How To Fix
If your Hotpoint oven door handle is loose, follow the steps below to tighten it…
Step 1: Turn the oven off.
Step 2: Unplug the oven’s power cord from the outlet.
Step 3: Open the oven door.
Step 4: On the door hinges, there are clips. Flip the clips on each door hinge forward to release the door.
Step 5: Close the door till it stops.
Step 6: Lift the door off and place on a sturdy surface lined with a cloth.
Step 7: Take out the screws which hold the inner door to the outer door. There should be two screws at the top and three or four at the bottom.
Step 8: Lift the inner door off.
Step 9: Tighten the two screws which hold the door handle using a Philips head screwdriver.
Step 10: Return the inner door and hold it in place with the screws.
Step 11: Lift the door and position each door hinge in the slots.
Step 12: Open the door completely and flip back the clips which secure it.
Step 13: Close the door.
Step 14: Plug the oven back in.

How To Replace Hotpoint Oven Door Handle
Below we show you how to replace the door handle of your Hotpoint oven…
Step 1: For safety, turn the oven off and unplug the power cord.
Step 2: Open the door.
Step 3: Flip the clips on the door hinges towards yourself.
Step 4: Close the door till it can’t go any further.
Step 5: Lift the door, tilt it in, and remove it.
Step 6: Place the door on a cloth lined surface.
Step 7: Take out the two screws at the top of the door.
Step 8: Remove the other screws at the bottom. There will be three or four screws.
Step 9: Lift the inner door off.
Step 10: Take out the screws which secure the door handle.
Step 11: Remove the door handle and get a new one.
Step 12: Screw the new door handle to the oven.
Step 13: Reposition the inner door.
Step 14: Return the screws at the top and bottom of the door which secure it.
Step 15: Insert the door hinges back into the slots in the oven.
Step 16: Lower the door.
Step 17: Flip the clips back.
Step 18: Close the door and plug the power cord back in.
