Step 1: Open the oven door.

Step 2: Place an oven thermometer on the center rack.

Step 3: Set the oven to bake at 350 degrees F.

Step 4: Write down the oven’s temperature after 10, 15, and 20 minutes.

Step 5: Add the three temperature readings and divide by three. If the reading is 330 or less after you do this, you will need to increase the oven’s temperature by 20 degrees or more to get the temperature up to 350. If it’s higher, you will need to adjust it accordingly.

Step 6: Hold down the “Bake” button for 5 seconds. If that doesn’t work, hold down the bake and broil buttons for 5 seconds.

Step 7: Using the up arrow, increase the oven’s temperature. You can also use the down arrow to reduce the temperature. Note that the oven will only let you increase or decrease the temperature no more than 30 degrees.

Step 5: Remove the sensor and get a replacement.

Step 6: Screw the new sensor into place.

Step 8: Reposition the oven’s lower back panel and hold it in place with the screws.
