How To Use Bosch Oven Self Clean

Below, we show you how to clean a Bosch oven using the self clean feature…

Step 1: If your oven is still hot from previous use, leave it to cool down completely.

Step 2: Once the oven has cooled down, open the door.

Step 3: Slide out the racks in your Bosch oven and set them aside. Also remove any other accessories in the oven.

Step 4: If there are any loose food bits in the oven, wipe them out with a paper towel.

Step 5: Make sure all the windows in your home are open.

If your Bosch oven won’t turn on after using the self clean feature, the thermal fuse has burnt out. Follow these steps to replace this component…

Step 1: Switch the circuit breaker off.

Step 2: If your oven is installed to a cabinet, uninstall it by taking out the screws on the sides of the front frame which secure it.

Step 3: Lift the oven out of the cabinet.

Step 4: Unscrew the oven’s rear access cover.

Step 5: Set the cover aside and disconnect the wires from the thermal fuse. You should see the thermal fuse on the oven’s upper rear.

Step 6: Unscrew the thermal fuse and get a new one.

Step 7: Screw the new thermal fuse to the oven.

Step 8: Connect the wires to the thermal fuse.

Step 9: Reposition the oven’s upper back access cover and hold it in place with the screws.
