How to Clean a Sharp Microwave
There are many different ways to clean your Sharp microwave, so we are going to show you a couple of them to choose from.
The Lemon Water Solution
Step 1: Get a bowl and pour a glass of water in it.
Step 2: Cut a lemon into two and squeeze the juice into the water.
Step 3: After squeezing all the juice, drop the two halves of the lemon into the water.
Step 4: Open the microwave and place the bowl of water in.
Step 5: Close the microwave door.
Step 6: Microwave the bowl of water for 5 minutes on the highest setting.
Step 7: Once it is done, turn the microwave off and take out the bowl of water.
Step 8: Use a soft sponge to scrub the microwave interior.
Step 9: Wipe with a damp towel.
Step 10: Take out the glass tray and wash when it is no longer hot. Do not use the dishwasher for this.
Step 11: Once the glass tray is dry, return it to the microwave.
The Vinegar and Baking Soda Method
Step 1: Get some baking soda and water.
Step 2: Mix enough baking soda in some water to make a paste.
Step 3: Dip a piece of cloth into the paste and rub all around the microwave interior.
Step 4: Pour half a cup of water and half a cup of vinegar into a microwave safe bowl.
Step 5: Place the bowl in the microwave and close the door.
Step 6: Leave the water to boil on the highest setting for 5 minutes.
Step 7: After 5 minutes, turn the microwave off and leave the bowl of water inside for about 10 minutes.
Step 8: After 10 minutes, take out the bowl of water.
Step 9: Wipe the interior of the microwave using the vinegar and water solution.
Step 10: Take out the glass tray and wash it in some warm soapy water.
Step 11: Rinse it over some cool water ad leave to dry.
Step 12: Once it is dry, return it to the microwave.
Wet Paper Towels
If you don’t have so much time on hand and your microwave isn’t so dirty, use this method.
Step 1: Get about a handful of soaking paper towels and place them in the microwave.
Step 2: Run the microwave on the highest setting for 5 minutes.
Step 3: When it is done, turn the microwave off.
Step 4: As soon as the wet paper towels have cooled down, use them to clean the whole microwave interior.
Dishwashing Soap Method
Step 1: Pour some water into a microwave safe bowl.
Step 2: Add some dishwashing soap to it.
Step 3: Place the bowl in the microwave.
Step 4: Run the microwave on the highest setting for 3 minutes.
Step 5: After 3 minutes, take out the bowl and use a damp sponge to wipe the microwave.
How to Clean a Sharp Microwave Filter
To clean the filter in a Sharp microwave, follow these steps…
Step 1: Turn off the microwave.
Step 2: Look underneath the microwave, the grease filter will be there.
Step 3: Pull the tabs on the grease filter to release it.
Step 4: Place the grease filter in a bowl of hot water with some dishwashing soap and leave to soak for a while.
Step 5: Afterwards, take out the filter and scrub it with a soft sponge.
Step 6: Rinse under some cool water and place on a towel to dry.
Step 7: Once it is dry, return it to the microwave.
