Self Clean vs Easy Clean LG Oven
The self clean and easy clean features are both in an LG oven but which one is better? Below we talk about the pros and cons of each one.
Easy Clean
The easy clean feature uses steam from the water pour into the oven to loosen up dirt. This feature is Eco friendly. However, it doesn’t get rid of a lot of dirt effectively. If your oven just needs a light clean, use the easy clean feature. But if your oven is very dirty, using the easy clean feature won’t do much to it.
Self Clean
The self clean feature uses high heat to burn off any dirt in the oven leaving you with only ash to wipe off. This feature works great for a very dirty oven, but it has its cons. During the process, the oven emits fumes which are harmful both to humans and pets. Since the oven gets very hot during the process, you risk burning yourself if you mistakenly touch it. The high temperature may also cause the oven’s thermal fuse to burn out. Additionally, if there any little cracks on your oven door, the extreme heat could cause it to shatter or explode.
