So you’ve gotten a new oven or microwave and you would like to install it yourself. Well, in this article, we will show you how to install a Samsung oven and more.

How To Install A Samsung Oven

Below we show you how to install a Samsung double oven…

Step 1: Take out your oven manual and find out the recommended tools for the installation. Also check the recommended height, depth, and width for the cabinet to be. Lastly, check the recommended power supply.

Step 2: If your existing cabinet is not the recommended height, depth, and width, call a carpenter to adjust it accordingly.

Step 3: Lift the oven up and set it on a large piece of cardboard to prevent it from damaging the floor.

Step 4: Open the door of the upper oven and take out the racks and any other accessories in it.

Step 5: Do the same with the lower oven.

Step 6: Open the upper oven door and flip the locks on the hinges forward using a flat head screwdriver.

Step 7: Close the door till it can’t go any further then lift it off the oven.

Step 8: Follow the same steps to uninstall the oven door.

Step 9: Make sure to set the door assembly on a towel lined surface.

Step 10: Move the oven close to the cabinet to connect the conduit cable.

Step 11: Switch off your circuit breaker.

Step 12: At the back of the cabinet, you will see the junction box, remove the cover.

Step 13: Pass the oven’s conduit cable through the round hole at the bottom of the junction box and hold it in place with a conduit connector.

Step 14: Tighten the screw on the conduit cable to hold it in place. There will be either one or two screws.

Step 15: Join the existing wires in the junction box to the ones from the oven. For instance, black goes with black, red goes with red, and so on.

Step 16: Secure each pair of wires together with a wire nut.

Step 17: Push the wires into the junction box and return the cover.

Step 18: Hold the cover in place with the screws.

Step 19: Lift the oven up and push it into the cabinet.

Step 20: Drill through the holes in the sides of the oven using a drill bit.

Step 21: Align the trim pieces around the oven and secure the oven to the cabinet using the provided screws.

Step 22: Lift the oven door up and insert the hinges into the slots in the sides of the oven.

Step 23: Lower the door and flip the hinge locks back.

Step 24: Also follow the same procedure for the lower oven.

Step 25: Slide the oven racks in.

Step 26: Switch on your circuit breaker.

How To Install A Samsung Built In Oven

To install a Samsung built in oven, follow the steps listed below…

Step 1: Check your oven’s manual to find out the recommended dimensions for the cabinet to be. If your existing cabinet doesn’t have the recommended dimensions, call a carpenter to adjust it.

Step 2: Check the recommended power supply for the oven and the tools for the installation.

Step 3: Open the door of the oven.

Step 4: Take out all the racks in the oven.

Step 5: Using a flat head screwdriver, flip the catches on the door hinges forward to release.

Step 6: Push the door forward till it can’t move any more.

Step 7: Grip the sides of the oven door and lift it off.

Step 8: Place the door assembly on a towel lined surface.

Step 9: Turn off your circuit breaker.

Step 10: Move the oven close to the cabinet.

Step 11: Remove the junction box cover. The junction box should be on the back wall of the cabinet.

Step 12: Pass the oven’s conduit cable through the hole in the box.

Step 13: Secure the oven’s conduit cable using a conduit connector.

Step 14: Screw the conduit cable into place.

Step 15: Match the oven wires to the existing ones of the same color in the box using wire nuts.  

Step 16: Position the junction box cover and hold it in place with the screws.

Step 17: Lift the oven up and push it into the cabinet.

Step 18: On the sides of the oven, there will be holes. Insert the provided screws into the holes to secure the oven to cabinet.

Step 19: Return the racks to the oven.

Step 20: Lift the oven door and position the hinges into the slots on each side of the oven.

Step 21: Lower the oven door.

Step 22: Flip the catches on the hinges back to hold the door in place.

Step 23: Close the door of the oven.

Step 24: Switch the circuit breaker back on.

How To Install A Samsung Gas Range

To install a Samsung gas range, follow the steps below…

Step 1: Check the recommended tools and parts needed for the installation in your range’s manual.

Step 2: Also check the recommended measurements for the cabinet and adjust it accordingly.

Step 3: Make sure the electrical supply for the range is 120V at 60Hz.

Step 4: Make sure that the gas supply line has a manual shut off valve.

Step 5: If it’s permitted in your neighbourhood, a flexible stainless steel supply line should be used in connecting the gas supply pipe to the gas pressure regulator.

Step 6: Open the door of the oven and take out the racks as well as any other accessories in the oven and broiler.

Step 7: Close the oven door.

Step 8: Tip the oven carefully to rest on its back. Make sure to line the floor with cardboard and a blanket. You may need someone to help you tip the oven to prevent it from getting damaged.

Step 9: Using a wrench, adjust the leveling legs at the bottom of the range. Make sure every leg is adjusted to the same level or the range will be lopsided when installed.

Step 10: Turn the range back up and set it on a large piece of cardboard.

Step 11: Remove the anti tip bracket provided with the range.

Step 12: Measure the back wall of the cabinet and mark the center.

Step 13: Position the anti tip bracket on the back wall making sure that the v notch is exactly 9 5/8 inches to the right or left of the line marked.

Step 14: Mark the holes in the anti tip bracket on the wall.

Step 15: Drill the holes marked on the wall using a 1/8th diameter drill bit.

Step 16: Position the bracket on the holes and secure it to the wall with some Philips head screws.

Step 17: Move the range close to the cabinet.

Step 18: Remove the cardboard that was placed under the range.

Step 19: Have a qualified person ensure that the gas pressure isn’t over 36 cm.

Step 20: Get a non flared adapter and apply some pipe joint compound to the ends.

Step 21: Attach the adapter to the gas pressure regulator at the back of the oven.

Step 22: Attach another joint compound coated adapter to the gas shut off valve.

Step 23: Tighten the adapters using channel lock pliers and an adjustable wrench.

Step 24: Connect the flexible stainless gas supply line to both adapters.

Step 25: Make sure the connections are properly tightened to avoid gas leakage.

Step 26: Make sure the gas pressure regulator valve is on.

Step 27: Open the manual valve on the gas supply pipe.

Step 28: Apply non corrosive leak detection solution on all the connections that were made. There will be bubbles if there is a leak. If there is a leak, tighten the connections more but not too much.

Step 29: Align the caps on each burner.

Step 30: Also position the burner grates.

Step 31: Open the oven door and return the racks.

Step 32: Also return the other rack to the broiler.

Step 33: Plug the oven’s power cord directly into an electrical outlet.

Step 34: Push the oven into the cabinet and position the back leg on the anti tip metal bracket on the wall.

Step 35: Try tipping the range forward. If the range is properly positioned on the bracket, it shouldn’t tip.

Step 36: Check if the range is leveled. If it isn’t pull it out and adjust the legs at the bottom accordingly.

Step 37: Position the range back on the bracket.

Step 38: Turn on each burner. The burners will take a couple of seconds to ignite.

Step 39: Test the broil compartment by turning it on. It should light within a minute.

Step 40: Also test the oven compartment.

Step 41: If your need to adjust the flame, first wait for the oven to cool then take out the racks.

Step 42: Take out the screws which hold the bottom panel of the oven interior in place.

Step 43: Lift out the bottom panel.

Step 44: The air shutter for the oven burner is at the back wall. Loosen the screw.

Step 45: Turn the air shutter counterclockwise to increase the flame and clockwise to reduce it.

Step 46: Tighten the air shutter screw.

Step 47: Reposition the bottom panel and the screws which secure it.

Step 48: Return the racks to the oven.

Step 49: Close the oven door.

How To Install A Samsung Microwave Oven

To install a Samsung microwave oven, follow the steps listed below…

Step 1: First, take out the microwave from the packaging.

Step 2: If you want to install a range hood above the microwave skip the steps to recirculate the microwave. If you are not getting a range hood and you want the microwave to recirculate, first take out the screws at the top of the microwave which hold the blower cover in place.

Step 3: Set the blower cover aside.

Step 4: Lift the blower assembly up and rotate it so that the vent faces forward.

Step 5: Position the blower cover back and hold it in place with the screws at the top and back.

Step 6: Take out the screws on the lower back of the microwave which secure the mounting bracket to it.

Step 7: Remove the mounting bracket and return the screws to the microwave.

Step 8: Open the microwave door.

Step 9: Take out the screws at the top of the microwave front vent. There will be two or three screws.

Step 10: Pull out the front vent of the microwave.

Step 11: Get the charcoal filter and position it in the opening at the front of the microwave.

Step 12: Return the front vent and hold it in place using the screws.

Step 13: Close the door of the microwave.

Step 14: Get the template for installing the mounting bracket.

Step 15: Position the template on the back wall of the cabinet and secure it with the tape.

Step 16: Place a stud finder on the wall and move it around to find the stud.

Step 17: Drill into the marked holes on the template closest to the studs. Drill into one hole at the left and one at the right.

Step 18: Remove the template from the wall.

Step 19: Position the mounting bracket on the wall and insert the provided toggle bolts into the holes in the bracket.

Step 20: Insert the toggles into the ends of the bolts.

Step 21: Secure the bracket to the wall by tightening the toggle bolts. Make sure not to tighten the bolts too much.

Step 22: Get the template for the top cabinet.

Step 23: Tape the template to the top cabinet. Make sure the template is centered.

Step 24: Drill into the hole indicated on the template for the power cord.

Step 25: Also drill the holes for the bolts which will secure the microwave to the cabinet.

Step 26: Using a paddle bit, expand the holes you drilled to the recommended diameter indicated on the template.

Step 27: Slide the washers onto the bolts provided for securing the microwave.

Step 28: Lift the microwave up and sit the bottom on the bracket.

Step 29: Pass the power cord through the hole in the top cabinet.

Step 30: Have someone support the microwave as you screw the bolts into it.

Step 31: Plug the microwave’s power cord in.

Step 32: Install the grease filters underneath the microwave by inserting them into the rectangular openings.

Step 33: Open the microwave door and place the glass tray and support inside.

Step 34: Peel off the nylon from the door and control panel.

To install a Samsung range hood, follow these steps…

Step 1: Take out the installation instructions for the hood and make sure you have the recommended tools indicated.

Step 2: Make sure the distance between the cooker and hood is at least 45 cm for gas ranges and 50 cm for electric ranges.

Step 3: Place the template provided on the wall and drill the holes indicated on it.

Step 4: To install the hood for extraction, fit the flaps into the hood.

Step 5: Open the door of the hood and remove the filter.

Step 6: You can install the hood for either top or back extraction. If you want to install the hood for back extraction, you will need to rotate the motor. Take out the screws which secure the motor and electrical box.

Step 7: Remove the round metal plate at the back of the hood.

Step 8: Rotate the motor so that the vent faces the back of the hood.

Step 9: Reposition the motor and electrical box.

Step 10: Return the screws which secure them.

Step 11: Screw the blanking cap to the hole.

Step 12: Lift the hood up and screw it to the wall.

Step 13: Get a technician to connect the power supply for the hood.

To install a Samsung electric range, follow the steps below…

Step 1: Switch your circuit breaker off.

Step 2: Unpack the range and remove the plastic wrap around it.

Step 3: Open the oven door and take out the manual.

Step 4: Go to the back of the oven and take out the screws which secure the access panel at the left or right depending on your oven model.

Step 5: Remove the panel.

Step 6: Install the strain relief to the terminal block opening on the oven.

Step 7: Pass the power cord through the strain relief to the terminal block.

Step 8: Screw each of the power cord wires to the terminal block.

Step 9: Tighten the screws which secure the strain relief.

Step 17: Push the oven to the cabinet making sure that it is properly positioned on the bracket.

Step 18: Check if the range oven is leveled. If it isn’t, adjust the bottom legs accordingly.

Step 19: Peel off any stickers on the range.

Step 20: Switch on the circuit breaker.
