Step 1: Look at the microwave manual to determine what tools will be needed during the installation.

Step 2: To ensure that you install the microwave properly, make sure that there is at least 30 inches of space between the side cabinets. There should also be at least 12 inches gap from the wall to the front of the cabinet. The electrical supply required for the microwave is 120v at 60Hz. The outlet for the microwave has to be located in the upper cabinet.

Step 3: For roof or wall venting, you need to rotate the blower motor. Using a screwdriver, take out the screws which secure the damper plate to the top of the microwave.

Step 4: Slide the damper plate forward to take it out.

Step 5: Take out the two screws which secure the blower to the back of the microwave.

Step 6: Lift the blower motor and turn it so that the vents point up for roof venting. Or, position the vents to the back for wall venting

Step 12: Refer to the diagrams in your microwave manual to know how to install the mounting plate.

Step 13: Use a measuring tape to figure out where the center of the cabinet opening is, then mark it.

Step 14: Align the center line on the template with the one on the wall. Make sure that the template is level on the bottom edge of the cabinet.

Step 15: Use a piece of tape to secure the wall template to the wall.

Step 16: Mark the holes on the two corners on the template then remove the template.

Step 17: Align the mounting plate on the wall using the markings.

Step 18: Mark the hole or holes that align with the wall studs.
