How To Test A GE Oven Temperature Sensor

To test a GE oven temperature sensor, do the following…

Step 1: Get a multimeter and place the prongs on the sensor.

Step 2: Look at the reading. If there is no continuity, you will need to replace the sensor.

How To Replace A GE Oven Sensor

Follow the steps below to replace the temperature sensor in a GE oven sensor…

Step 1: Turn the oven’s power supply off or unplug the oven.

Step 2: Open the door of the oven.

Step 3: Remove the racks in the oven.

Step 4: Take out the screw which holds the temperature sensor in place. The sensor is on the upper back wall of the oven in the middle of the grill element.

Step 5: Pull out the temperature sensor carefully.

Step 6: Disconnect the wire plug connected to the sensor by pressing it then pulling it out.

Step 7: Get a new sensor and connect the wire plug to it.

Step 8: Hold the sensor in place with the screws.

Step 9: Return the racks to the oven.

Step 10: Close the oven door and plug it back in.
