How To Replace A Neff Oven Thermostat

To replace the thermostat of a Neff oven, follow these steps…

Step 1: Switch the circuit breaker off.

Step 2: Open the door of the oven and flip the hinge locks.

Step 3: Grip the sides of the oven door and lift it off.

Step 4: Remove the racks in the oven to make it easier to access the thermostat rod.

Step 5: On the upper back wall of the oven interior, you should see the thermostat rod. Carefully pull the thermostat rod from the clips.

Step 6: Take out the screws on each side of the oven to remove it from the cabinet.

Step 7: Lift the oven out of the cabinet and place it on a flat and sturdy surface lined with a cloth.

Step 8: Take out the screws which hold the top and back panel of the oven in place.

Step 9: Now remove the top and back panel.

Step 10: Behind the oven control panel, you should see the thermostat connected to a selector switch. Pull out the oven control knob and take out the screws you see. If your oven doesn’t have control knobs, take out the screws which secure the control panel.

Step 11: Note where the wires go on the thermostat and disconnect them.

Step 12: Pull the thermostat away from the selector switch.

Step 13: Go back to the interior of the oven and push the thermostat rod through the hole at the top of the oven.

Step 15: Connect the new thermostat to the selector switch.

Step 16: Pass the thermostat rod through the hole in top of the oven.

Step 17: Reconnect the wires to the thermostat and reposition the selector switch.

Step 18: Return the screws which secure the selector switch and push the control knob back in. If your oven doesn’t have control knobs, reposition the control panel and hold it in place with the screws.

Step 19: Sit the thermostat rod in the clips.

Step 20: Align the top and back panel of the oven and secure them using the screws.

Step 21: Lift the door and sit it back on the oven.

Step 22: Flip the hinge locks back to secure it.

Step 23: Lift the oven up and push it back into the cabinet.

Step 24: Return the screws at the sides of the oven which secure it to the cabinet.

Step 25: Close the oven door.

Step 26: Switch the circuit breaker back on.
