How To Reset A Samsung Oven [& Related Issues Solved]

If your oven is acting unusual and you want to learn how to reset it, keep reading. In this article, we will show you how to reset a Samsung oven.

Samsung Oven SE Reset

To reset the SE error on your Samsung oven, follow these steps…

Step 1: Turn the oven off and unplug the power cord.

Step 2: Leave the oven unplugged for 5 minutes.

Step 3: After 5 minutes, plug the oven in and turn it back on.

If this doesn’t fix the issue, you will need to replace the touchpad. To replace the touchpad of your Samsung oven, follow the steps listed below…

Step 1: Pull the oven away from the cabinet.

Step 2: Unplug the oven’s power cord from the outlet.

Step 3: Go to the back of the oven and take out the screws which secure the upper rear panel.

Step 4: Lift the panel off and set it aside.

Step 5: Disconnect the ribbon cable connected to the control board.

Step 6: Go to the front of the oven and take out the screws which secure the deflector underneath the control panel.

Step 7: Remove the deflector.

Step 8: Remove the screws which secure the control board assembly to the control panel.

Step 9: Take out the screws which hold the spark module on the right side of the oven.

Step 10: Also remove the screw which secures the grounding wire right next to it.

Step 11: Remove the screws on the top back of the oven which secure the control panel.

Step 12: Remove the control panel.

Step 13: Take out the three screws on the control panel which hold the touchpad’s metal plate in place.

Step 14: Mark the surrounding area of the touchpad then peel it off.

Step 15: Get a new touchpad and stick it on the metal plate.

Step 16: Screw the metal plate back to the control panel.

Step 17: Reposition the control panel on the oven and return the screws which secure it.

Step 18: Screw the spark module and grounding wire back into place.

Step 19: Also screw the deflector back.

Step 20: Position the control board assembly on the control panel and secure it with the screws.

Step 21: Reconnect the ribbon cable to the control board.

Step 22: Return the back panel and the screws which secure it.

Step 23: Plug the oven back into the outlet.

Step 24: Push the oven to the cabinet.
