Step 3: On the back wall of the oven, you will see the light bulb. First unscrew the light bulb cover by turning it counterclockwise.
Step 4: Unscrew the light bulb by turning it in the same direction.
Step 5: Get a replacement 40 watt bulb.
Step 6: Screw the new bulb into the socket.
Step 7: Return the light bulb cover.
Step 8: Slide the oven racks back in.
Step 9: Close the oven door.

2. The Light Socket

Step 1: Pull the oven away from the wall.
Step 2: Unplug the oven’s power cord from the outlet.
Step 3: Take out the screws which hold the lower rear panel of the oven in place.
Step 4: Lift the panel off and set it aside.
Step 5: Note where each wire is connected to on the light socket then disconnect them.
Step 6: Go to the front of the oven and open the door.
Step 7: Take out the racks in the oven.
Step 8: Turn the light bulb cover counterclockwise to remove.
Step 9: Also unscrew the light bulb itself by turning it counterclockwise as well.
Step 10: Using a flat head screwdriver, push back the metal tabs which secure the light socket. Have someone stay at the back of the oven and push the socket while you do this.
Step 11: Remove the light socket and get a new one.
Step 12: Position the new light socket in the oven and push it into place.
Step 13: Screw the light bulb back in it.
Step 14: Return the light bulb cover.
Step 15: Slide the racks back into the oven.
Step 16: Close the oven door.
Step 17: Go to the back of the oven and reconnect the wires to the socket.
Step 18: Reposition the oven’s lower rear panel by inserting the tabs into the slots at the top sides of the oven.
Step 19: Secure the panel using the screws.
Step 20: Plug the oven back in and push it to the wall.

Step 1: First turn off the circuit breaker.

Step 1: Pull the oven away from the wall and disconnect the power cord.
Step 2: Open the oven door and take out the racks.
Step 3: Take out the screws which hold the oven’s fan cover in place.
Step 4: Remove the fan cover.
Step 5: Take out the bolt which secures the fan blade to the fan motor shaft.
Step 6: Slide out the fan blade and washers. If the hole in the fan blade isn’t round the fan blade should be replaced with the fan motor.
Step 7: Take out the screws which secure the back panel of the oven.
Step 8: Set the panel aside.
Step 9: Disconnect the wire harness connected to the fan motor.
Step 10: Take out the three screws which secure the fan motor to the oven.
Step 11: Remove the fan motor.
Step 12: Get a replacement fan motor.
Step 13: Position the fan motor on the oven.
Step 14: Hold the fan motor in place using the three screws.
Step 15: Reposition the back panel by inserting the metal tabs into the slots on the top sides of the oven.
Step 16: Secure the back panel with the screws.
Step 17: Go to the oven interior.
Step 18: If the fan blade is faulty, get a new one and position it on the motor shaft.
Step 19: Slide the washer onto the fan blade.
Step 20: Secure the fan blade using the bolt.
Step 21: Reposition the fan blade cover and hold it in place with the screws.

Heating Element
To replace your Samsung oven’s heating element, do the following…
Step 1: Pull the oven away from the cabinet.
Step 2: Unplug the oven from the outlet.
Step 3: Turn the oven around to gain access to the back.
Step 4: Remove the screws which secure the oven’s lower rear panel.
Step 5: Lift the panel off. The edges of the panel are sharp so be careful.
Step 6: Set the panel aside.
Step 7: Disconnect the wires connected to the heating element terminals.
Step 8: Get a multimeter and touch the probes to the terminals.
Step 9: Test the element for continuity. If there is no continuity, the element will need to be replaced.
Step 10: Remove the screws which hold the power cord wires to the terminal block.
Step 11: Pull out the power cord carefully and set it aside.
Step 12: Remove the screws which hold the terminal blocks metal plate to the oven.
Step 13: Remove the metal plate.
Step 14: Cut the insulation around the heating element using a pocket knife.
Step 15: Lift the insulation up a bit and take out the screws holding the heating element in place. There will be one screw close to each terminal.
Step 16: Carefully pull out the element and get a new one.
Step 17: Push the new element into the opening and secure it with the two screws.
Step 18: Reconnect the wires to the element.
Step 19: Reposition the terminal block metal plate.
Step 20: Position the terminal block on the metal plate and secure them with the screws.
Step 21: Push the power cord back through the hole and secure it to the terminal block with the screws.
Step 22: Return the oven’s rear panel. Insert the tabs on the top sides of the panel into the slots on the top sides of the oven.
Step 23: Return the screws which secure the panel.
Step 24: Plug the oven into the outlet and push it back to the cabinet.

The Igniter
Below we show you how to replace the igniter in your Samsung gas range oven…
Step 1: First, turn off your oven’s circuit breaker and shut off the gas supply.
Step 2: Pull out the oven’s bottom drawer and set it aside.
Step 3: To make it easier to access the igniter, uninstall the oven door. Do this by opening the door and flipping the locks on the hinges forwards.
Step 4: Push the door forward till it can’t go any further then lift it off.
Step 5: Place the door assembly on a towel lined surface and remove the oven racks.
Step 6: Take out the screws at the bottom of the oven interior which hold the bottom cover in place.
Step 7: Lift the bottom cover up and take it out.
Step 8: Take out the screws which secure the burner shield.
Step 9: Remove the shield.
Step 10: Remove the screws which secure the burner tube with the igniter.
Step 11: Carefully pull out the tube.
Step 12: Go to the bottom of the oven.
Step 13: Disconnect the igniter’s wire plug.
Step 14: Take the burner tube and igniter out of the oven.
Step 15: Take out the screw or screws which hold the igniter to the burner tube.
Step 16: Get a new igniter.
Step 17: Position the igniter on the burner tube and hold it in place with the screws.
Step 18: Return the burner tube and igniter to the oven interior.
Step 19: Pass the igniter wire through the hole in the oven.
Step 20: Go to the bottom of the oven and reconnect the igniter wire plug.
Step 21: Secure the burner tube to the oven with the screws.
Step 22: Return the burner shield and the screws which hold it in place.
Step 23: Align the oven’s bottom cover back.
Step 24: Hold the cover in place with the screws.
Step 25: Return the racks to the oven.
Step 26: Lift the oven door and position the hinges in the slots.
Step 27: Lower the door and flip the hinge locks back.
Step 28: Return the oven’s bottom drawer.
Step 29: Close the oven door and turn on your oven’s gas supply.
Step 30: Switch your circuit breaker back on.
