2. Wires
If you have tested your Jenn-Air oven element using a multimeter and it has continuity, it isn’t the cause of the problem. Inspect the wires connected to the terminals of the bake element. You will need to remove the oven’s rear panel first. If the wires connected to the element are cut, burnt, or damaged in any way, they may be why your Jenn-Air oven element is not working. Contact a technician to fix the wires.
3. Control Board
This is the final possible reason why your Jenn-Air oven element is not working. The element in an oven requires voltage to operate. The control board is the component which sends the voltage. So, if it fails, the element won’t function. If you have checked the element and wires but they aren’t faulty, the control board probably is. How To Test Jenn-Air Oven Element
Below, we have listed the steps you need to follow in order to test your Jenn-Air oven element…
Step 1: Isolate the element from the oven for a more accurate reading. Read the “Jenn-Air Oven Element Not Working” section above if you don’t know how to do this.
Step 2: Get a multimeter.
Step 3: Now, turn the multimeter’s dial to the lowest setting for ohms.
Step 4: If you are using an analog multimeter for this test, you will need to calibrate it. To do this, touch the end of the two multimeter’s probes together.
Step 5: While holding the probes together, adjust the needle on the display to 0.
Step 6: Touch the multimeter’s probes to the terminals of the bake element.
Step 7: Look at the display of the multimeter. If the multimeter shows a reading, the element has continuity. This means that it is still functioning properly. However, if the multimeter doesn’t show a reading, or the needle doesn’t move, the element is faulty and should be replaced.

Jenn-Air Stove Top Element Not Working — Causes And Solutions
There are two different elements used in Jenn-Air stove tops. An element coil, or a radiant element. We will list the possible reasons why each one won’t work and what to do about them.
1. Radiant Element
If your Jenn-Air stove top radiant element is not working, it is most likely because it has failed. Below, we have listed the steps you need to follow in order to replace your Jenn-Air stove top radiant element…
Step 1: First, you will need to disconnect the oven’s power for safety. Unplug the oven’s power cord from the outlet or switch the circuit breaker off to do this.
Step 2: Open the door of the oven.
Step 3: Get a Philips head screwdriver.
Step 4: Using a Philips head screwdriver, take out the screws underneath the stove top which hold it in place. There is one screw on each corner.
Step 5: Lift the stove top and gently pull it forward.
Step 6: There are two wire harnesses connected to the rear of the stove top. Disconnect the wire harnesses. Make sure the wires don’t fall through the oven’s rear or you will need to remove the access panel to get them back.
Step 7: Lift the stove top off the oven.
Step 8: Set the stove top assembly, front side down, on a sturdy surface lined with a towel or cloth.
Step 9: The radiant elements are on the metal support panel. Take out the six screws which hold the metal panel to the stove top using the Philips head screwdriver.
Step 10: Lift the metal panel assembly up and flip it around.
Step 11: Note where each wire goes on the element you want to replace. Take a picture to make it easier to remember.
Step 12: Get a pair of needle nose pliers.
Step 13: Use the pair of needle nose pliers to disconnect the wires connected to the radiant element.
Step 14: There are clips underneath the element which secure it to the metal panel. Squeeze the clips together to detach the element from the panel. Make sure to note which opening each clip goes in.
Step 15: Get a new element for your Jenn-Air stove top.
Step 16: Note the numbers on the element where the clips are screwed to.
Step 17: Unscrew the clips from the element and screw them to the new one. Make sure each clip goes to the right place.
Step 18: Now, position the element clips into the right slots and push them into place.
Step 19: Reconnect the wires to the radiant element making sure that each wire goes to the right place. If the wires are improperly connected, it could cause the element not to function.
Step 20: Carefully flip the support panel over while supporting the radiant elements.
Step 21: Position the panel back on the stove top.
Step 22: Secure the metal panel to the stove top using the six Philips head screws.
Step 23: Take the stove top assembly back to the oven.
Step 24: Reconnect the wire harnesses to the rear of the stove top.
Step 25: Push the stove top back.
Step 26: Return the screws underneath the stove top which hold it in place.
Step 27: Shut the door of the oven.
Step 28: Plug the oven’s power cord back into the outlet or switch the circuit breaker back on.

2. Wires
If your Jenn-Air stove top radiant element still doesn’t work after being replaced, you should check the wires next. Damaged wires could cause the element not to work. Inspect the wires connected to the terminals of the radiant element. If the wires appear burnt or damaged in any way, contact a technician to replace them.
3. Infinite Switch
A faulty infinite switch is the final possible reason why your Jenn-Air stove top radiant element won’t work. If you have checked the element and wires but they aren’t faulty, the infinite switch should be replaced. Below, we have listed the steps you need to follow in order to replace the infinite switch of your Jenn-Air stove…
Step 1: Pull the oven away from the wall to access the rear.
Step 2: Unplug the oven’s power cord from the outlet to avoid the risk of electrocution.
Step 3: Open the oven door.
Step 4: Get a Philips head screwdriver.
Step 5: Using the screwdriver, take out the screws which hold the control panel assembly in place. There are screws at the bottom and sides.
Step 6: Lift the control panel assembly off and carefully lower it down.
Step 7: Pull off the control knob of the infinite switch you want to replace.
Step 8: Now, take out the two screws which hold the infinite switch to the panel.
Step 9: Take a picture of the infinite switch to note where each wire goes.
Step 10: Get a pair of needle nose pliers.
Step 11: Disconnect the wires from the infinite switch using the pair of needle nose pliers.
Step 12: Get a new infinite switch.
Step 13: Connect the wires to the new switch. Make sure that each wire goes to the right place.
Step 14: Position the infinite switch on the control panel assembly.
Step 15: Hold the infinite switch in place using the two Philips head screws.
Step 16: Push the control knob back onto the shaft of the infinite switch.
Step 17: Reposition the control panel assembly on the oven.
Step 18: Return the screws on the sides and bottom of the control panel assembly which secure it.
