Step 1: Pull the oven away from the wall.
Step 2: Disconnect the power cord from the oven.
Step 3: Get a Philips head screwdriver.
Step 4: Using a Philips head screwdriver, take out the screws which hold the oven’s back panel in place.
Step 5: Lift the panel off and set it aside.
Step 6: Disconnect the wires from the thermal fuse. You should see the fuse somewhere close to the terminals of the bake element.
Step 7: Take out the screw which holds the thermal fuse in place.
Step 8: Remove the fuse and get a replacement.
Step 9: Screw the new Kenmore oven fuse to the oven’s rear and reconnect the wires.
Step 10: Reposition the oven’s back panel and hold it in place with the screws.
Step 11: Plug the oven’s power cord back in.
Step 12: Push the oven back to the wall.

Step 1: Pull the oven away from the wall.
Step 2: Unplug the oven’s power cord to avoid the risk of electrocution.
Step 3: Pull the stove knobs off. You can use a putty knife to help with this if they don’t come off easily.
Step 4: Using a flat blade screwdriver, remove the four retainers on the top of the control panel assembly which secure it.
Step 5: Lift the assembly up and disconnect the wires.
Step 6: Set the control panel aside.
Step 7: Using a Philips head screwdriver, take out the screws which hold the control panel’s metal plate in place.
Step 8: Next, take out the screw which holds the green grounding wire to the metal plate.
Step 9: Lift the plate up and disconnect the wire harnesses.
Step 10: Set the metal plate aside and open the oven door.
Step 11: Use the Philips head screwdriver to take out the screws which hold the oven’s black plastic cover in place. There are screws at the top and bottom.
Step 12: Peel off the gasket from the stove top’s edge.
Step 13: Take out the screws which hold the stove top in place.
Step 14: Note how each wire harness is positioned on the oven.
Step 15: Lift the stove top off and set aside of a sturdy cloth lined surface.
Step 16: Disconnect the wires from the thermal fuse. The fuse is green in color.
Step 17: Take out the two Philips head screws which hold the thermal fuse in place.
Step 18: Get a new Kenmore oven fuse.
Step 19: Secure the new Kenmore oven fuse to the oven with the two screws.
Step 20: Connect the wires to the thermal fuse.
Step 21: Lift the stove top and place it back on the oven. Make sure the wire harnesses are properly positioned.
Step 22: Secure the stove top with the screws.
Step 23: Return the gasket.
Step 24: Reposition the plastic cover and hold it in place with the screws.
Step 25: Close the oven door.
Step 26: Take the metal plate back to the oven and reconnect the wire harnesses to it.
Step 27: Screw the green grounding wire back to the metal plate.
Step 28: Secure the metal plate to the stove top using the screws.
Step 29: Take the control panel assembly back to the oven and reconnect the wires.
Step 30: Position the panel on the oven and return the four retainers which hold it in place.
Step 31: Return the stove control knobs making sure that each one goes to the right place.
Step 32: Plug the oven’s power cord back in and return the oven to its usual position.

How To Test Kenmore Oven Fuse
Below, we have listed the steps you need to follow in order to test your Kenmore oven fuse…
Step 1: Remove your Kenmore oven fuse. In order to ensure an accurate reading, the fuse should be isolated from the oven.
Step 2: Get a multimeter.
Step 3: If you are using a digital multimeter, turn the dial to the lowest ohms setting.
Step 4: If you are using an analog multimeter, turn the dial to the lowest ohms setting and calibrate it. To calibrate the meter, touch the two probes together while adjusting the needle on the multimeter’s display to 0.
Step 5: Touch the multimeter probes to the terminals of the thermal fuse.
Step 6: Look at the multimeter’s display. If the multimeter shows 0 ohms, the thermal fuse is still good. However, if the display doesn’t change or the needle doesn’t move, the thermal fuse is faulty. Get a new Kenmore oven fuse.

How To Replace Kenmore Microwave Fuse

Step 1: Unplug the microwave’s power cord for safety.
Step 2: Open the door of the microwave.
Step 3: Using a Philips head screwdriver, take out the screws at the top of the microwave which hold the front vent in place.
Step 4: Lift the vent off.
Step 5: Take out the screw next to the control panel assembly which secures it. On some models, you will see another screw behind the panel. If there is another screw behind the panel, take it out as well.
Step 6: Lift the control panel assembly up and lower it down.
Step 7: Move the control panel assembly aside.
Step 8: Take out the two screws which hold the microwave’s inner access cover in place.
Step 9: Remove the cover.
Step 10: Before going any further, discharge the capacitor. You can do this by placing the blade of a screwdriver with an insulated handle across the capacitor terminals simultaneously. You should hear a small pop indicating that the capacitor has been discharged.
Step 11: You should see the line fuse on a board. Detach the fuse from the holder.
Step 12: Get a new line fuse and position it in the holder.
Step 13: Return the inner access cover and hold it in place with the screws.
Step 14: Insert the tabs on the control panel into the slots in the microwave frame.
Step 15: Push the control panel down and secure with the screws.
Step 16: Reposition the front grille and hold it in place with the screws.
Step 17: Shut the microwave door.
Step 18: Plug the microwave’s power cord back into the outlet.

Step 1: To avoid the risk of electrocution, unplug the microwave’s power cord from the outlet.
Step 2: Take out the screws underneath the microwave which hold the bottom panel in place.
Step 3: Lower the bottom panel and disconnect the wires connected to it.
Step 4: Remove the wires from the retainers as well.
Step 5: Lift the panel off and set it aside.
Step 6: Open the microwave door.
Step 7: Take out the glass tray and support.
Step 8: Shut the door and take out the bolts which hold the microwave to the cabinet. Make sure there is someone supporting the microwave as you do this.
Step 9: Lift the microwave off the mounting plate and pull the power cord through the hole in the cabinet.
Step 10: Set the microwave on a sturdy cloth lined surface.
Step 11: Using a Philips head screwdriver, take out the screws which hold the microwave cover in place. There are screws at the top, sides, and back.
Step 12: Lift the microwave cover off and set it aside.
Step 13: Discharge the capacitor by placing a screwdriver with an insulated handle across the terminals.
Step 14: Take out the screw at the back of the microwave which holds the blower assembly in place.
Step 15: Disconnect the wire from the blower assembly.
Step 16: Note the position of the blower and lift it out of the microwave.
Step 17: Open the microwave door and take out the screws which hold the front grille in place.
Step 18: Slide the grille to the left then remove it.
Step 19: Take out the screws which hold the air duct assembly in place.
Step 20: Pry the assembly off using a flat head screwdriver.
Step 21: Unhook the power cord and wire from the air duct assembly.
Step 22: Lift the air duct assembly and disconnect the wires from the thermal fuse on the magnetron.
Step 23: Take out the screw which holds the thermal fuse to the magnetron.
Step 24: Remove the thermal fuse and get a new one.
Step 25: Screw the new thermal fuse to the magnetron and reconnect the wires.
Step 26: Lower the air duct assembly and hook the wires back to it.
Step 27: Push the assembly into place and hold it in place with the screws.
Step 28: Reposition the microwave’s front grille and hold it in place with the screws.
Step 29: Shut the microwave door.
Step 30: Reposition the blower assembly in the microwave. Make sure it is properly positioned.
Step 31: Reconnect the wire plug to the blower assembly.
Step 32: Return the screws at the back of the microwave which hold the blower assembly.
Step 33: Reposition the microwave cover.
Step 34: Return the screws which hold the microwave cover in place.
Step 35: Lift the microwave up and reposition the rear on the mounting plate.
Step 36: Pass the power cord through the hole in the cabinet.
Step 37: Secure the microwave to the cabinet with the bolts.
Step 38: Open the microwave door.
Step 39: Return the glass tray and support to the microwave.
Step 40: Reposition the microwave’s bottom panel.
Step 41: Reconnect the wires to the bottom panel of the microwave.
Step 42: Secure the bottom panels with the screws.
Step 43: Plug the microwave’s power cord back in.
