Step 1: Pull the oven away from the wall.

Step 5: Lift the panel off and set it aside.

Step 6: Disconnect the wires from the thermal fuse. You should see the fuse somewhere close to the terminals of the bake element.

Step 7: Take out the screw which holds the thermal fuse in place.

Step 8: Remove the fuse and get a replacement.

Step 9: Screw the new Kenmore oven fuse to the oven’s rear and reconnect the wires.

Step 10: Reposition the oven’s back panel and hold it in place with the screws.

Step 11: Plug the oven’s power cord back in.

Step 1: Pull the oven away from the wall.

Step 2: Unplug the oven’s power cord to avoid the risk of electrocution.

Step 3: Pull the stove knobs off. You can use a putty knife to help with this if they don’t come off easily.

Step 4: Using a flat blade screwdriver, remove the four retainers on the top of the control panel assembly which secure it.

Step 5: Lift the assembly up and disconnect the wires.

Step 6: Set the control panel aside.

Step 7: Using a Philips head screwdriver, take out the screws which hold the control panel’s metal plate in place.

Step 8: Next, take out the screw which holds the green grounding wire to the metal plate.

Step 12: Peel off the gasket from the stove top’s edge.

Step 13: Take out the screws which hold the stove top in place.

Step 14: Note how each wire harness is positioned on the oven.

Step 15: Lift the stove top off and set aside of a sturdy cloth lined surface.

Step 16: Disconnect the wires from the thermal fuse. The fuse is green in color.

Step 17: Take out the two Philips head screws which hold the thermal fuse in place.

Step 18: Get a new Kenmore oven fuse.

Step 19: Secure the new Kenmore oven fuse to the oven with the two screws.

Step 20: Connect the wires to the thermal fuse.

Step 21: Lift the stove top and place it back on the oven. Make sure the wire harnesses are properly positioned.

Step 22: Secure the stove top with the screws.

Step 23: Return the gasket.

Step 24: Reposition the plastic cover and hold it in place with the screws.

Step 25: Close the oven door.

Step 26: Take the metal plate back to the oven and reconnect the wire harnesses to it.

Step 27: Screw the green grounding wire back to the metal plate.

Step 28: Secure the metal plate to the stove top using the screws.

Step 29: Take the control panel assembly back to the oven and reconnect the wires.

Step 30: Position the panel on the oven and return the four retainers which hold it in place.

Step 31: Return the stove control knobs making sure that each one goes to the right place.

Step 32: Plug the oven’s power cord back in and return the oven to its usual position.

How To Test Kenmore Oven Fuse

Below, we have listed the steps you need to follow in order to test your Kenmore oven fuse…

Step 1: Remove your Kenmore oven fuse. In order to ensure an accurate reading, the fuse should be isolated from the oven.

Step 2: Get a multimeter.

Step 3: If you are using a digital multimeter, turn the dial to the lowest ohms setting.

Step 4: If you are using an analog multimeter, turn the dial to the lowest ohms setting and calibrate it. To calibrate the meter, touch the two probes together while adjusting the needle on the multimeter’s display to 0.

Step 5: Touch the multimeter probes to the terminals of the thermal fuse.

Step 1: Unplug the microwave’s power cord for safety.

Step 2: Open the door of the microwave.

Step 3: Using a Philips head screwdriver, take out the screws at the top of the microwave which hold the front vent in place.

Step 5: Take out the screw next to the control panel assembly which secures it. On some models, you will see another screw behind the panel. If there is another screw behind the panel, take it out as well.

Step 6: Lift the control panel assembly up and lower it down.

Step 26: Lower the air duct assembly and hook the wires back to it.

Step 27: Push the assembly into place and hold it in place with the screws.

Step 30: Reposition the blower assembly in the microwave. Make sure it is properly positioned.
