Step 1: Pull the oven away from the wall.
Step 2: To avoid the risk of electrocution, unplug the power cord from the outlet.
Step 3: Using a Philips head screwdriver, take out the screws which hold the oven’s back panel in place.
Step 4: Set the panel aside.
Step 5: Disconnect the wires from the terminals of the light socket.
Step 6: Get a multimeter and turn the dial to the lowest ohms setting. If you are using an analog multimeter, touch the two probes together while adjusting the needle on the display to 0.

Step 4: Using a flat head screwdriver, remove the retainers over the control knob shafts which hold the front panel in place.
