2. Burnt Wires

If your Magic Chef oven broiler won’t work after replacing the broil element, you should check the wires connected to it. Remove the oven’s rear access panel and inspect the wires connected to the terminals of the broil element. If the wires appear burnt or damaged, contact a technician to fix them.

3. Control Board

A faulty control board is the final possible reason why your electric Magic Chef oven broiler won’t work. The control board sends voltage to the broil element. So, if the board fails, the broil element won’t receive the voltage it requires to function. 4. Igniter

If your Magic Chef gas oven broiler won’t work, the igniter is probably faulty. Igniters are used in most gas ovens. Once the safety valve opens and sends gas to the igniter, it quickly ignites the gas in order to produce a flame. 5. Safety Valve

So, if it fails, the igniter won’t have any gas to light. Also read the “Magic Chef Oven Igniter” article in the igniter section above to replace the safety valve.

6. Damaged Wires

If both the igniter and safety valve aren’t faulty, check the wires connected to them. Inspect the wires connected to the safety valve and igniter. Note that the wires usually burn close to the component itself. So, if you see burns or cuts on the wires, contact a technician to fix them.

7. Control Board

If your have checked the components above but none of them is faulty, the control board is the reason why your Magic Chef gas oven broiler won’t work. If the board fails, the igniter and safety valve won’t receive voltage to operate. Read the “Magic Chef Oven Control” article in the section above to replace the control board in your Magic Chef oven.
