Magic Chef Oven Control Board Not Working — How To Fix
If your Magic Chef oven control board is not working, it should be replaced. Below, we have listed the steps you need to follow in order to replace your Magic Chef oven control board…
Step 1: Pull your Magic Chef stove away from the wall to access the rear.
Step 2: Disconnect the power to the stove by unplugging the power cord or switching the circuit breaker off.
Step 3: Get a quarter inch nut driver.
Step 4: Using the quarter inch nut driver, take out the four screws which hold the oven’s upper back panel in place.
Step 5: Lift the panel off.
Step 6: Disconnect the two wires from the control board.
Step 7: Using a Philips head screwdriver, take out the screws which hold the control board in place. There are four screws.
Step 8: Remove the control board and get a new one.
Step 9: If your new control board doesn’t come with a touchpad, stick the old touchpad to it.
Step 10: Secure the control board to the oven using the four Philips head screws.
Step 11: Connect the two wires to the control board.
Step 12: Reposition the upper back panel.
Step 13: Hold he back panel in place with the quarter inch screws.
Step 14: Plug the oven’s power cord back in or switch the breaker on.
Step 15: Push the oven back to its usual position.

If your Magic Chef oven control panel is not working, the touchpad should be replaced. Below, we have listed the steps you need to follow in order to replace the touchpad of your Magic Chef oven…
Step 1: Disconnect the power to the oven. You can do this by switching the circuit breaker off or unplugging the oven’s power cord from the outlet.
Step 2: Go to the oven’s rear.
Step 3: Get a quarter inch nut driver.
Step 4: Using the quarter inch nut driver, take out the four screws holding the oven’s upper access panel in place.
Step 5: Set the access panel aside.
Step 6: Get a Philips head screwdriver
Step 7: Take out the screws holding the control board to the oven with the Philips head screwdriver.
Step 8: Disconnect the wires from the control board.
Step 9: Using a putty knife, pry off the touchpad from the board. If the touchpad is too difficult to remove, use a heat gun to melt the glue which helps the touchpad stick to the board.
Step 10: Get a new touchpad and peel off the backing.
Step 11: Stick the touchpad to the control board making sure that it’s properly aligned.
Step 12: Screw the board back to the oven.
Step 13: Connect the wires to the control board.
Step 14: Reposition the oven’s upper access panel.
Step 15: Hold the access panel in place with the quarter inch screws.
Step 16: Reconnect the power to the oven by plugging the power cord in or switching the circuit breaker back on.
