Step 1: Pull the oven away from the wall.

Step 2: Disconnect the power to the oven by unplugging the power cord.

Step 4: Using a Philips head screwdriver, take out the screws which hold the oven’s back panel in place.

3. Damaged Wires

Step 1: Pull the oven away from the wall.

Step 2: For safety, disconnect the power to the oven. Do this by unplugging the power cord from the outlet or switching the circuit breaker off.

Step 3: Shut off the oven’s gas supply as well.

Step 4: Using a Philips head screwdriver, take out the screws holding the oven’s upper access panel in place.

Step 5: Lift the panel off and set it aside.

Step 6: Now, take out the screws which hold the spark module cover in place. The cover should be on the right or left.

Step 7: Lift the cover off and set it aside.

Step 8: Using a short Philips head screwdriver, take out the two screws which hold the spark module to the oven.

Step 10: Get a new spark module.

Step 11: Disconnect the wires from the old spark module and connect them to the new one. Make sure that each wire goes to the right place or the spark module won’t work.

Step 12: Reposition the spark module in the oven’s opening.

Step 13: Hold the spark module in place with the two screws.

Step 15: Hold the cover in place with the screws.

Step 16: Reposition the oven’s back panel.

Step 17: Secure the panel with the screws.

Step 20: Push the oven back to its usual position.
