Maytag Oven Self Clean Mode — How To Use

Step 1: Open the door of the oven.

Step 2: Slide out the oven racks and set them aside.

Step 3: If there are any other accessories in the oven, set them aside as well.

Step 4: Wipe off any loose bits of food to reduce the smoke the oven will emit.

Step 5: If there are any accessories on the stove top, remove them as they could get damaged because of the excessive heat.

Step 6: Close the oven door and open all the windows in your house.

Step 7: Press the “Self Clean” button.

Step 8: Select how long you want the feature to run. You can choose from 3-5 hours.

Step 9: Press “Start”.

Step 10: Once the oven indicates the self clean cycle is over, do not try opening the door. Wait for the oven to cool down.

Step 11: Once the oven has cooled down, it will unlock. Open the door and wipe the oven interior with a damp cloth.

Step 12: Return the racks and any other accessories to the oven.
