The Temperature Sensor

A faulty temperature sensor is the more likely reason why your Neff oven is not cooking properly. Follow the steps listed below to replace the temperature sensor in your Neff oven…

Step 1: Turn off your oven’s circuit breaker.

Step 2: Open your oven door.

Step 3: Remove the racks in the oven.

Step 4: On the door hinges there will be locks. Flip them towards yourself to release the door.

Step 5: Grip the sides of the door and lift it off the oven.

Step 6: Now, take out the two screws securing the temperature sensor. The temperature sensor should on the left corner of the oven.

Step 7: Pull out the sensor carefully making sure you disconnect the wire while you do this.

Step 8: Disconnect the wire plug connected to the sensor and leave it hanging out.

Step 9: Get a new sensor and connect the wire plug to it.

Step 10: Secure the sensor with the two screws.

Step 11: Reposition the door on the oven and flip the locks on the hinges backwards.

Step 12: Slide the racks back into the oven.

Step 13: Close the oven door.

Step 14: Turn on the oven’s circuit breaker.

To replace the heating element in a Neff oven, do the following…

Step 1: As always, switch off the oven’s power supply.

Step 2: Open the oven door and flip the holding catches over.

Step 3: Grip the sides of the oven door and remove it.

Step 4: Remove the racks in the oven.

Step 5: Take out the screws which hold the oven’s back plate in place.

Step 6: Remove the back plate.

Step 7: Now take out the three screws which secure the heating element. The heating element is around the fan blade.

Step 8: Pull out the heating element carefully.

Step 9: Note where each wire is connected to on the heating element then disconnect them.

Step 10: Get a new heating element.

Step 11: Connect the wires to the heating element.

Step 12: Position the heating element around the fan blade and secure it using the screws.

Step 13: Reposition the back plate of the oven and hold it in place with the screws.

Step 14: Return the racks to the oven.

Step 15: Position the hinges on the oven door back into the slots in the sides of the oven.

Step 16: Flip the holding catches back.

Step 17: Close the oven door.

Step 18: Turn on the oven’s power supply.

The fan on your oven is not working because the fan motor or blade is faulty. Follow the steps below to replace the fan motor and blade in your oven…

Step 1: Turn off your oven’s circuit breaker.

Step 2: Open your oven door and slide out the racks in it.

Step 3: If your oven is installed to a cabinet, take out the screws on each side to remove it.

Step 4: Place the oven on a sturdy surface lined with a cloth.

Step 6: Next, remove the rear cover of the oven interior by taking out the screws.

Step 7: Take out the rear cover and set aside.

Step 8: Take out the nut in the middle of the fan blade by turning it clockwise using a nut driver.

Step 9: Remove the fan blade and inspect the hole in the middle. If the hole is “D” shaped and not round, you will need to replace it.

Step 10: Turn the oven around to access the back panel.

Step 11: Take out the screws securing the back panel.

Step 12: Disconnect the wires connected to the fan motor. Make sure to note where each wire goes to ensure you install the new fan motor properly. You can take a picture to make it easier for yourself.

Step 13: Take out the screws which hold the fan motor to the oven. There will be three or more screws depending on the model of your oven.

Step 14: Pull out the fan motor. On some oven models, you will need to turn the motor to the left first before pulling it out.

Step 15: Get a new fan motor.

Step 16: Insert the shaft of the fan motor into the hole in the oven.

Step 17: Screw the fan motor into place.

Step 18: Reconnect the wires to the fan motor.

Step 19: Place the back panel back on the oven and screw it into place.

Step 20: If the fan blade of you oven is faulty as well, get a new one and position it in the oven.

Step 21: Secure the fan blade to the oven using the nut.

Step 22: Return the rear cover in the oven and screw it into place.

Step 23: Return the oven to the cabinet.

Step 24: Secure the oven to the cabinet using the screws.

Step 25: Slide back the racks into the oven.

Step 26: Close the door of the oven.

Step 27: Switch on your oven’s circuit breaker.
