Neff Oven Temperature Not Accurate — Cause And Solution
If your Neff oven temperature is way off from what you set, the temperature sensor or thermostat is faulty. To replace the thermostat in a Neff oven, follow these steps…
Step 1: Turn off the oven’s circuit breaker.
Step 2: Open the oven door.
Step 3: Flip the clips on the hinges towards yourself.
Step 4: Lift the door off the oven.
Step 5: Take out the screws on the two sides of the oven which hold it to the cabinet.
Step 6: Pull the oven out of thee cabinet and place on a flat and sturdy surface lined with a cloth.
Step 7: Remove the racks in the oven.
Step 8: On the top back wall of the oven interior, you will see the thermostat’s capillary tube sitting on some clips. Carefully pull it away.
Step 9: Take out the screws which secure the oven’s back panel.
Step 10: Set the panel aside.
Step 11: Also take out the screws holding the top panel in place.
Step 12: Behind the oven’s control knob, you will see the thermostat. If the thermostat is connected to a selector switch, pull out the knob in front of it and take out the screws which hold it in place.
Step 13: Note where each wire is connected to on the thermostat then disconnect them.
Step 14: Pull the thermostat away from the selector switch.
Step 15: Push the thermostat’s capillary tube out through the hole in the oven.
Step 16: Get a new thermostat and insert the capillary tube into the hole.
Step 17: Push the thermostat into the selector switch.
Step 18: Connect the wires to the right places on the thermostat.
Step 19: Position the selector switch and screw it into place.
Step 20: Push the control knob back in.
Step 21: Reposition the top and back panel of the oven.
Step 22: Secure them with the screws.
Step 23: Go to the oven interior and sit the thermostat’s capillary tube back on the clips.
Step 24: Lift up the oven door and insert the hinges into the slots in the oven.
Step 25: Flip the clips back.
Step 26: Push the oven back into the cabinet.
Step 27: Secure the sides of the oven to the cabinet.
Step 28: Close the oven door and turn on the circuit breaker.

Step 1: Switch off the circuit breaker.
Step 2: Open the oven door and uninstall it. Do this by flipping the locks on the hinges towards yourself then lifting it off.
Step 3: Remove all the racks in the oven.
Step 4: The temperature sensor should be at the upper left corner of the oven interior. Take out the two screws which secure it.
Step 5: Pull out the temperature sensor gently.
Step 6: Disconnect the wire plug connected to the sensor.
Step 7: Get a new sensor.
Step 8: Connect the wire plug to the temperature sensor.
Step 9: Push the temperature sensor into the hole.
Step 10: Secure the temperature sensor using the screws.
Step 11: Return the racks to the oven.
Step 12: Reinstall the oven door by inserting the hinges into the slots in the oven.

Step 14: Flip the locks on the hinges backwards to secure the door.
