Follow the steps listed below to replace your Neff oven thermostat…

Step 1: Switch off the circuit breaker for your oven.

Step 2: Uninstall your oven from the cabinet. Do this by taking out the screws on each side of the oven.

Step 3: Remove the oven from the cabinet and place it on a sturdy surface lined with a cloth.

Step 4: Open the oven door and remove the racks.

Step 5: Flip the clips on the hinges forward to release the door.

Step 6: Lift the door off.

Step 7: Remove the racks in the oven.

Step 8: Pull the thermostat rod away from the clips carefully. The thermostat is on the upper back wall of the oven interior.

Step 9: Take out the screws which hold the back panel of the oven in place.

Step 10: Remove the back panel.

Step 11: Take out the screws which hold the top panel in place as well.

Step 12: Set the panel aside.

Step 13: If your thermostat is connected to a selector switch, pull it away. If the thermostat is connected directly to the oven panel, pull out the control knob and take out the two screws you see to remove the thermostat.

Step 14: Note where each wire goes on the oven thermostat. To make it easier, you can take a picture.

Step 15: Push the thermostat rod through the hole at the top of the oven.

Step 16: Remove the thermostat and get a new one.

Step 17: Push the new thermostat rod through the hole in the oven.

Step 18: Push the thermostat into the selector switch.

Step 19: Reconnect the wires to the thermostat.

Step 20: Return the top panel of the oven and secure it with the screws.

Step 21: Also return the back panel of the oven and hold it in place with the screws.

Step 22: Sit the thermostat rod back on the clips.

Step 23: Slide the racks back into the oven.

Step 24: Insert the hinges on the door into the slots in the oven.

Step 25: Lower the oven door down and flip the locks back.

Step 26: Return the oven to the cabinet.

Step 27: Secure the oven to the cabinet with the screws.

Step 28: Close the oven door and switch on the circuit breaker.

Step 2: Set the multimeter to a continuity test.
