Panasonic Microwave Light [Problems & Solutions]

Is the light in your microwave not working, or is the light on but the microwave won’t work? If your microwave falls under one of these, keep reading. Today, we will show you the solutions to the most common Panasonic microwave light problems.

Panasonic Microwave Light On But Not Working

A faulty door switch is the most likely cause of this problem. To test and replace the door switch in a Panasonic microwave, do the following…

Step 1: Unplug the microwave

Step 2: Take out the screws at the top, back and sides of the microwave which hold its cover in place. Depending on your microwave model, there may not be screws at the top or at the sides.

Step 3: Once you have taken out the screws, remove the microwave cover and set it aside.

Step 4: Behind the control panel, there will be three door switches, one of them is faulty. Detach the top switch from the holder.

Step 5: To find out if the top switch is faulty, press the small button on it. If there is a strong click when you do so, the door switch is still good. However, if the button feels loose and doesn’t make a sound, it is faulty.

Step 6: Do this same test with the middle door switch and the lower one. Click here to know more about testing a microwave door switch.

Step 10: Place the door switch back in its holder.

Step 11: Reposition the microwave cover.

Step 12: Secure the cover using the screws you removed earlier on.

Step 13: Plug the microwave back in.
