Panasonic Microwave Won’t Turn On [How To Fix]
There is more than one possible reason why your Panasonic microwave won’t turn on. We will list each of them and how to fix them.
The Line Fuse
To replace the line fuse in a Panasonic microwave, do the following…
Step 1: Turn off the microwave and unplug it.
Step 2: Take out the screws which hold the cover of the microwave in place. There should be one screw at the right side and four screws at the back.
Step 3: Lift the microwave cover up.
Step 4: Near the power cord, you will see the line fuse. Remove it from the bracket.
Step 5: Test the line fuse using a multimeter. If there is no continuity, get a new line fuse. Click here to know how to test a line fuse.
Step 6: Place the new line fuse in the holding bracket.
Step 7: Reposition the microwave cover making sure that it is properly aligned.
Step 8: Secure the microwave cover with the screws.
Step 9: Plug the microwave back in.

The Door Latch
If your Panasonic microwave won’t turn on, the door latch may be broken. If the door latch is broken, it will not activate the door switches when the door is closed. Click here to know how to replace a broken door latch in a Panasonic microwave.
The Door Switch
A faulty door switch may also be why your Panasonic microwave won’t turn. To replace the door switch in a Panasonic microwave, do the following…
Step 1: Unplug the microwave from the outlet.
Step 2: Take out the screws at the back and side of the microwave. There will be four at the back and one at the right side.
Step 3: Remove the cover from the microwave.
Step 4: Locate the door switches behind the control panel.
Step 5: Remove the upper door switch from the holder and press the small button on it. If there is a strong click, return it to the holder. But if the button feels loose, the door switch is faulty.
Step 6: Do this same test with the other two switches.
Step 7: Disconnect the wires from the faulty door switch.
Step 8: Get a new door switch.
Step 9: Connect the wires to the terminals of the door switch.
Step 10: Return the door switch to the holder.
Step 11: Return the microwave cover and make sure that it is properly aligned.
Step 12: Screw the microwave cover back into place.
Step 13: Plug the microwave in.
