Samsung Microwave Door… [Issues & Solutions]

Certain issues with a Samsung microwave door can make it really difficult to even use the microwave for anything at all. That is why, in this article, we are going to talk about some Samsung microwave door problems and how to fix them.

Samsung Microwave Buzzing When Door Closed

To fix this issue, do the following…

Step 1: Turn off the microwave and unplug. This is always an important step to follow before starting a repair.

Step 2: Take out the two screws at the top of the microwave. There should be one screw on each side.

Step 3: Once you have taken out the screws remove the front grille and open the microwave door.

Step 4: After taking out the front grille, you’ll see one screw on the right side holding the control panel in place. Take it out.

Step 5: Next, lift up the panel and pull it out gently.

Step 6: You will see the main board on the control panel. Disconnect all the wires attached to it and make sure to remember where each one goes. You can take a picture of it in case you forget where each wire goes.

Step 7: Take out all the screws which secure the main board so that you can bring it out.

Step 8: Remove the board and buy a new one.

Step 9: Place the new board where the previous one was and attach all the screws back tightly.

Step 10: Reconnect all the wires.

Step 11: Reassemble all the microwave plastic pieces and screws.

How to Replace Samsung Microwave Door

If your door is having problems closing, you don’t necessarily need to replace the whole thing. You might just need to replace the door latch. To replace your Samsung microwave door latch, do the following…

Step 1: Open the microwave door.

Step 2: Use a putty knife to gently pry off the plastic frame around the door.

Step 3: Remove the plastic frame.

Step 4: Next, lift the door latch up then unhook it from the spring if it’s still attached to it.

Step 5: Get a new door latch and hook it to the spring.

Step 6: Once you have hooked it to the spring, pull the door latch up so that you can put it into the hole the previous one was in.

Step 7: Snap the plastic frame back and close the microwave door.
