Why Is My Samsung Microwave Not Heating
Your Samsung microwave is not heating because the magnetron or diode is faulty. One or both of these parts will need to be replaced for the microwave to operate properly.
However, if replacing both of these parts does not solve the problem, it speaks of a greater fault with the microwave. It’s best to call a technician to identify and fix the problem with your microwave.
How to Fix a Samsung Microwave That Won’t Heat
If your Samsung microwave is not heating, you will need to replace the magnetron. to replace the magnetron in a Samsung microwave, do the following…
Step 1: Unplug the microwave from the socket.
Step 2: Remove all the screws that hold the microwave cover in place.
Step 3: Remove the microwave cover.
Step 4: Take out the magnetron in the microwave by removing the screws on the two sides and disconnecting the wires.
Step 5: Place a new one where the previous one was then tighten with the screws and reconnect the wires.
Step 6: Put the microwave hood back and plug the microwave.
Step 7: To test whether the problem is solved, place a cup of water and microwave it for 1 minute. If it’s hot then the magnetron was the failing component . If not, read on.
Step 8: Remove the microwave hood once again.
Step 9: Look at the bottom right of the microwave, the diode should be there. Take out the screw holding it in place and remove the diode.
Step 10: Place a new one there and screw it tightly.
Step 11: Screw the microwave hood back then plug the microwave.
Step 12: Place the cup of water inside then microwave it for 1 minute. If it’ hot, then your repair is complete. If not, you will need to contact your Samsung service center to identify the problem.
