There are a couple of reasons why the light of your Samsung oven is blinking. Below we have listed each one below and how to fix them.

1. Door Gasket

If your Samsung light is flickering, check if the door is closed properly. If the door doesn’t close properly, the door gasket may need to be replaced. Follow these steps to replace the door gasket of your Samsung oven…

Step 1: Turn the oven off.

Step 2: Open the oven door.

Step 3: Around the oven is the door gasket. First pull out the ends of the door gasket from the bottom of the oven.

Step 4: Pull out the metal clips on each side of the oven to release the gasket.

Step 5: If any of the clips on the gasket get stuck in the oven, pull them out using a pair of pliers.

Step 6: Get a new door gasket.

Step 7: Push the clips on the door gasket into the holes in the oven.

Step 8: Push the ends of the door gasket into the bottom of the oven.

If your oven door doesn’t close properly, it won’t send a signal to the door switch to turn on the oven light. 2. The Door Hinges

If your Samsung oven door still doesn’t close properly, the door hinges may be faulty. Below are the steps you need to follow in order to replace the door hinges of your Samsung oven…

Step 1: Turn off the oven and unplug it from the outlet.

Step 2: Open the oven door and flip the locks on the hinges forward using a flat blade screwdriver.

Step 3: Close the door till it can’t go any further.

Step 4: Lift the door off and set on a sturdy towel lined surface.

Step 5: Take out the two Philips head screws at the top of the oven door.

Step 6: Take out the other three Philips head screws.

Step 7: Lift the inner door assembly off the outer one.

Step 8: Take out the screws on each side of the inner door assembly which secure the door hinges.

Step 9: Remove the door hinges and get new ones.

Step 10: Position the door hinges on the inner door assembly and hold it in place using the screws.

Step 11: Lift the inner door assembly and place it on the outer one.

Step 12: Return the screws at the bottom and the other two screws at the top.

Step 13: Lift the oven door and insert the hinges into the slots on the sides of the oven.

Step 14: Flip the hinge locks back.

Step 15: Close the oven door.

Step 16: Plug the oven back in.

3. The Door Switch

If your oven door closes properly but you see the light of your Samsung oven blinking, the door switch is probably faulty. Below are the steps you need to follow to replace the door switch in a Samsung oven…

Step 1: Switch off the oven’s circuit breaker or unplug the power cord from the outlet.

Step 2: Pull the oven away from the wall to access the back.

Step 3: Using a Philips head screwdriver, take out the screws around the back of the oven which hold the lower panel in place.

Step 4: Lift the oven panel off and set it aside. The edges of the panel are sharp so be careful as you remove it.

Step 5: The door switch is on the door latch assembly at the right. Disconnect the wire harness connected to the door switch.

Step 6: Remove the two screws holding the door switch to the door latch assembly.

Step 7: Using a multimeter, test the door switch for continuity. If there is continuity, you don’t need to replace it. If there is no continuity, the door switch should be replaced.

Step 8: Get a new door switch and position it on the door latch assembly.

Step 9: Hold the door switch in place using the screws.

Step 10: Reconnect the wire harness to the door switch.

Step 11: Reposition the back panel of the oven.

Step 12: Hold the panel in place using the screws.

Step 13: Switch on the oven’s circuit breaker or plug the power cord back in.

Step 14: Return the oven to its usual position.

Samsung Oven Control Panel Blinking — How To Fix

If your Samsung oven control panel is blinking, it indicates a problem with the LED control board. Follow these steps to replace your Samsung oven LED control board…

Step 1: Unplug the oven’s power cord from the outlet.

Step 2: Turn the oven around to gain access to the back panel.

Step 3: Using a Philips head screwdriver, take out the screws which hold the upper back panel in place.

Step 4: Lift the upper back panel off.

Step 5: Remove the screws which hold the control board to the control panel.

Step 6: Move the control board out of the way.

If you see your Samsung oven blinking and say “Lock”, the door latch assembly is malfunctioning. Below are the steps you need to follow to replace your Samsung oven’s door latch assembly…

Step 1: Switch off the oven’s circuit breaker.

Step 2: Pull out the oven to access the back.

Step 3: Take out the Philips head screws which secure the lower back panel of the oven.

Step 4: Remove the panel.

Step 5: Disconnect the wire plug from the door latch assembly at the right.

Step 6: Disconnect the wire from the door switch on the door latch.

Step 7: Open the oven door and flip the locks on the hinges forward using a flat blade screwdriver.

Step 8: Close the door till it stops.

Step 9: Lift the door off and set it on a cloth lined surface.

Step 10: Take out the two screws at the front of the oven which secure the other part of the door latch assembly.

Step 11: Go to the rear of the oven and take out the two screws holding the door latch assembly.

Step 12: Pull out the door latch assembly.

Step 13: Get a replacement and push it in.

Step 14: Remove the screws on the bottom front of the oven cooktop.

Step 15: Lift up the cooktop and push the end of the door latch into the slot at the front of the oven.

Step 16: Hold the front of the latch in place with the two screws.

Step 17: Reinstall the door on the oven by inserting the hinges in the slots.

Step 18: Flip back the locks and close the door.

Step 19: Return the other screws at the back of the oven which hold the door latch in place.

Step 20: Reconnect the wire plugs to the latch and door switch.

Step 21: Reposition the back panel and hold it in place with the screws.

Step 22: Switch on the circuit breaker.

If your Samsung oven keeps flashing test, it’s because demo mode is on. To turn off demo mode, follow the steps below…

Step 1: Hold down the button with the clock icon for 3 seconds.

Step 2: Press the “0” button.

Step 3: To turn off demo mode, press “2”.
