Samsung Oven Display Not Working — How To Fix

If your Samsung oven display isn’t working, the control board is faulty. Below we have listed the steps to follow in order to replace your oven control board…

Step 1: Switch off the circuit breaker for your oven to avoid the risk of electrocution.

Step 2: Go to the rear of the oven and remove the screws which hold the upper panel in place.

Step 3: Remove the panel.

Step 4: Disconnect the ribbon connector from the control board.

Step 5: Note where each wire goes on the control board then disconnect them.

Step 6: Take out the screws which hold the control board to the plastic mounting plate on the control panel.

Step 7: Remove the control board and get a new one.

Step 8: Position the new control board on the mounting plate and secure with the screws.

Step 9: Reconnect the ribbon connector to the oven.

Step 10: Reconnect all the other wires to the right places on the control board.

Step 11: Return the upper panel and the screws which hold it in place.

Step 12: Switch on the oven’s circuit breaker.

Step 1: Switch off the oven’s circuit breaker to avoid the risk of electrocution.

Step 2: Open the oven door and take out the screws underneath the front lip of the cooktop. If your Samsung oven is a gas one, remove the burner bases and take out the screws on the cooktop which hold it to the oven.

Step 3: Lift the cooktop.

Step 4: Prop the cooktop using a plank.

Step 5: On the back of the oven top, you will see the thermal fuse. Disconnect the two wires connected to the fuse. If the thermal fuse isn’t at the back, it’s at the front.

Step 6: Take out the screws which secure the thermal fuse to the oven.

Step 7: Remove the thermal fuse and get a new one.

Step 8: Position the new thermal fuse on the oven and hold it in place with the screws.

Step 9: Reconnect the wires to the fuse.

Step 10: Lower the cooktop and return the screws at the top or bottom which hold it in place.

Step 11: If you removed the burner bases earlier, return them.

Step 12: Close the oven door and switch the circuit breaker back on.

Samsung Microwave Display SE — How To Fix

To fix this error code, follow the steps below…

Step 1: Unplug the microwave’s power cord from the outlet.

Step 2: Take out the screws at the top of the microwave’s front grille.

Step 3: Open the door and remove the front grille.

Step 4: Take out the screw at the top of the control panel which secures it. If there isn’t a screw at the top of the control panel, take out the one right next to it on the left.

Step 5: Lift the control panel and lower it down.

Step 6: There is a ribbon cable on the control board, pull up the plastic holder to release the cable.

Step 7: Pull out the ribbon cable and clean the end with an eraser.

Step 8: Dip a cotton swab into some alcohol and clean the end of the cable further.

Step 9: Once the cable is dry, reinsert it into the plastic holder and push it down.

Step 10: Reposition the control panel on the microwave and hold it in place with the screw.

Step 11: Return the front grille and the screws at the top which secure it.

Step 12: Close the door and plug the microwave’s power cord back in.

If cleaning the cable didn’t fix the problem, follow these steps to replace your Samsung oven’s control board…

Step 1: Unplug the microwave’s power cord or switch off the circuit breaker.

Step 2: Open the microwave door and remove the screws which secure the front vent. There will be two or three at the top.

Step 3: Pull out the front vent and set it aside.

Step 4: Take out the screw on the top or left side of the control panel which holds it in place.

Step 5: Lift the control panel and lower it down.

Step 6: Note where each wire goes on the control board then disconnect them. Take a picture to make it easier.

Step 7: Place the control panel assembly on a towel lined surface.

Step 8: Pull up the plastic holder which secures the ribbon cable.

Step 9: Pull out the ribbon cable carefully and take out the screws which secure the control board to the panel.

Step 10: Lift the board off and get a new one.

Step 11: Position the new board on the panel.

Step 12: Screw the board into place.

Step 13: Reconnect the ribbon cable to the plastic holder and push it down.

Step 14: Reconnect all the wires to the control board making each one is connected to the right terminals.

Step 15: Screw the control panel assembly back into place.

Step 16: Return the front vent and hold it in place with the screws.

Step 17: Close the door of the microwave.

Step 18: Plug the microwave back in or turn on the circuit breaker.
