Samsung Oven Is Not Working After Self Cleaning — How To Fix

If your Samsung oven is not working after self cleaning, the thermal fuse has burned out. To replace the thermal fuse in your Samsung oven, do the following…

Step 1: Turn off the oven.

Step 2: Switch off the oven’s circuit breaker as well.

Step 3: If your Samsung oven is installed to a cabinet, uninstall it by taking out the screws on each side.

Step 4: Remove the oven from the cabinet and place it on a cloth lined surface.

Step 5: Take out the screws which secure the top and back panel of the oven in place.

Step 6: Remove the top and back panel.

Step 7: The thermal fuse is on the top back of the oven on the right. Test the thermal fuse using a multimeter. If there is no continuity, the fuse will need to be replaced.

Step 8: Disconnect the wires connected to the thermal fuse.

Step 9: Remove the faulty thermal fuse.

Step 10: Get a new thermal fuse and position it on the back of the oven.

Step 11: Reconnect the wires to the thermal fuse.

Step 12: Align the back panel on the oven and hold it in place with the screws.

Step 13: Reposition the top panel as well and return the screws which secure it.

Step 14: Return the oven to the cabinet.

Step 15: Secure the oven to the cabinet using the screws.

Step 16: Switch the oven’s circuit breaker back on.

Step 1: Pull the oven away from the wall and disconnect the power cord.

Step 2: Remove the screws which hold the upper back panel of the oven in place.

Step 3: Set the upper panel aside.

Step 4: Disconnect the ribbon cable connected to the control board.

Step 5: Go to the front of the oven and take out the two screws underneath the control panel which secure the heat deflector to it.

Step 6: Set the heat deflector aside.

Step 7: Take out the screws which secure the control board to the to the control panel.

Step 8: Lower the control board.

Step 9: Also take out the screws which hold the spark module to the control panel. The spark module is on the right side of the control panel at the back.

Step 10: Also unscrew the ground wire on the control panel.

Step 11: Take out the two screws on the top back of the oven which secure the control panel. There will be two screws on each side.

Step 12: Lift the control panel off.

Step 13: Take out the three screws on the control panel which hold the touch pad in place.

Step 14: Remove the metal plate with the touchpad on it.

Step 15: Mark the edges of the touchpad to ensure you position the new one properly on the metal plate.

Step 16: Peel off the touchpad from the metal plate.

Step 17: Get a new touchpad and stick it to the metal plate.

Step 18: Position the metal plate back on the control panel and secure it using the three screws.

Step 19: Return the control panel to the oven.

Step 20: Return the four screws which secure the panel.

Step 21: Screw the grounding wire back to the control panel.

Step 22: Position the spark module and hold it in place with the screws.

Step 23: Return the control board and the screws which hold it in place.

Step 24: Reconnect the ribbon cable to the control board.

Step 25: Reposition the heat deflector underneath the control panel and secure it using the two screws.

Step 26: Align the upper back panel of the oven and secure it with the screws. If you removed any metal pieces when you took out the upper panel, return them.

Step 27: Plug the oven back in.

Step 28: Push the oven back to the wall.

Follow the steps above up to step 12 to replace the control panel of your Samsung range oven.

Step 1: Pull the oven away from the wall and unplug the power cord.

Step 2: Open the door of the oven.

Step 3: Remove the racks in the oven.

Step 4: Using a flat head screwdriver, flip the clips on the door hinges towards yourself to release the oven door.

Step 5: Close the door till it can’t go any further.

Step 6: Grip the sides of the door and lift it off.

Step 7: Take out the two screws on the back wall of the oven which hold the fan blade cover in place.

Step 8: Remove the cover.

Step 9: Take out the bolt in the middle fan blade.

Step 10: Slide out the fan blade and the washer.

Step 11: Go to the rear of the oven and take out the screws which secure its lower back panel.

Step 12: Disconnect the wire connector from the fan motor.

Step 13: Take out the three screws which secure the fan motor to the mounting bracket on the oven.

Step 14: Remove the fan motor and mounting bracket.

Step 15: Get a new fan motor assembly and position it on the back of the oven.

Step 16: Hold the fan motor in place using the three screws.

Step 17: Reconnect the wire connector to the fan motor.

Step 18: Reposition the back panel of the oven.

Step 19: Secure the panel using the screws.

Step 20: Go back to the oven interior and slide the fan blade and washer back on the motor shaft.

Step 21: Return the bolt which secures the fan blade to the oven.

Step 22: Align the fan blade cover.

Step 23: Secure the fan blade cover using the two screws.

Step 24: Slide the racks back into the oven.

Step 25: Position the door back on the oven by inserting the hinges into the slots on each side.

Step 26: Flip the hinge locks to secure the door.

Step 27: Close the oven door.

Step 28: Plug the oven back in and push it to the wall.

Step 1: Pull out the oven drawer and set it aside.

Step 2: Open the oven door and take out the screws which hold the bottom panel in place. There will be two screws close to the back of the oven.

Step 3: Lift out the bottom panel.

Step 4: Next, take out the screws which secure the heat shield to the oven.

Step 5: Lift out the shield.

Step 6: Take out the screws which secure the tube the igniter is connected to.

Step 7: Go to the opening where you pulled out the drawer from and disconnect the igniter’s wire connector.

Step 8: Take out the tube and igniter from the oven.

Step 9: Take out the two screws which secure the igniter to tube.

Step 10: Get a new igniter and position it on the tube.

Step 11: Secure it using the screws.

Step 12: Take the burner tube and igniter back to the oven.

Step 13: Secure them using the screws.

Step 14: Reconnect the wire connector to the igniter.

Step 15: Position the heat shield and return the screws which secure them.

Step 16: Return the bottom panel of the oven.

Step 17: Hold the bottom panel in place with the screws.

Step 18: Return all the racks to the oven.

Step 19: Slide the bottom drawer of the oven back.

Step 20: Close the door of the oven.

Step 21: Switch the oven’s circuit breaker back on.

Samsung Stove Is Not Working — How To Fix

If your Samsung stove is not working, the element should be replaced. To replace the element of your Samsung stove, follow the steps listed below…

Step 1: Pull the oven away from the wall.

Step 2: Disconnect the oven’s power cord.

Step 3: Take out the screws which hold the lower back panel of the oven in place.

Step 4: Remove the lower back panel and set it aside.

Step 5: Also take out the screws securing the upper back panel.

Step 6: Lift the upper back panel up and set it aside.

Step 7: Take out the screw at the back of the oven at the left which secures a grounding wire.

Step 8: Disconnect the wire harness connected to the control assembly at the left.

Step 9: Push the wire harness and the grounding wire into the hole there.

Step 10: Go to the right and release the other wire harness from the retainer.

Step 11: Disconnect the wire harness and push it into the hole. Be careful as the surrounding area of the whole is quite sharp.

Step 12: Go to the front of the oven.

Step 13: Open the door of the oven.

Step 14: Take out the three screws under the front lip of the oven’s cook top.

Step 15: Lift the cooktop and pull it out. The cook top is quite heavy so be careful.

Step 16: Set the cook top face down on a cloth.

Step 17: You will see the heating elements held by rectangular brackets. Take out the screws which secure the rectangular brackets with the faulty heating element.

Step 18: Release the tabs securing the faulty element.

Step 19: Slide out the heating element.

Step 20: Disconnect the wires connected to the element.

Step 21: Get a new element and connect the wires to it.

Step 22: Position the element on the bracket and insert the tabs into it to secure.

Step 23: Reposition the cook top on the oven and push it back. Make sure to push the wire connectors through the hole first before doing this.

Step 24: Return the three screws underneath the front lip which secure it.

Step 25: Close the oven door.

Step 26: Go to the back of the oven and reconnect the wire connector at the right. Secure it in the retainer

Step 27: Reconnect the other wire connector at the left and secure it in the wire retainer.

Step 28: Screw the grounding wire back.

Step 29: Reposition the top panel of the oven and secure it using the screws.

Step 30: Return the lower panel as well and the screws which secure it.

Step 31: Plug the oven in.

Step 32: Push the oven back to the wall.
