Sharp Microwave Turntable Is Not Turning

If your Sharp microwave turntable is not turning, it could be the result of a faulty turntable motor, damaged drive coupling or the glass tray support.

How to Replace a Sharp Microwave Turntable Motor

To replace a Sharp microwave turntable motor, do the following…

Step 1: First, unplug the microwave.

Step 2: Open the microwave door and take out the glass tray and support.

Step 3: Close the microwave door.

Step 4: Take out the screws underneath the microwave which hold the bottom panel in place. Only take out the screws securing the bottom panel.

Step 5: Lower the panel down.

Step 6: Take out the two screws securing the turntable motor to the microwave.

Step 7: Note where each wire goes on the turntable motor then disconnect them.

Step 8: Get a new turntable motor and connect it to the right terminals of the new turntable motor.

Step 9: Screw the turntable motor to the microwave.

Step 10: Return the bottom panel of the microwave and hold it in place with the screws.

Step 11: Open the microwave door and return the glass tray and support.

Step 12: Close the door and plug the microwave back in.
