If your Sharp microwave won’t turn on, try unplugging it for 5 minutes. After 5 minutes, plug it back in. test to see if the microwave turns on. If your Sharp microwave won’t turn on still, go to the circuit breaker in your house.

Step 1: Turn off and unplug the microwave.

Step 2: Take out the screws at the back of the microwave which hold the microwave cover in place.

Step 3: Lift the microwave cover up but not completely.

Step 4: At the left side of the microwave near the power cord, you will see the line fuse. Remove it from the holder.

Step 5: Get a new line fuse and place it in the holder.

Step 6: Reposition the microwave cover and hold it in place with the screws.

Step 1: Turn the microwave off and unplug it.

Step 2: Open the microwave door.

Step 3: Using a screwdriver, pry out the trim around the door. You don’t need to pry the whole thing out, just enough to gain access to the door latch.

Step 4: Lift the door latch up and take it out.

Step 5: Hook the spring on the door latch to a different part of the door.

Step 6: If the latch itself is broken, drill a hole in the middle and hook the spring there.

Step 7: Reattach the door latch to the microwave.

Step 8: Align the door trim and snap it back into place.

Step 9: Close the microwave door.

Step 10: Plug the microwave back in.
