Sharp Microwave Won’t Turn On
If your Sharp microwave won’t turn on, try unplugging it for 5 minutes. After 5 minutes, plug it back in. test to see if the microwave turns on. If your Sharp microwave won’t turn on still, go to the circuit breaker in your house.
Find the one for your microwave and make sure that it is switched on all the way. If it is, switch it off for 5 minutes then turn it back on. If the Sharp microwave won’t turn on, you may need to replace the line fuse. To replace the line fuse in a Sharp microwave, do the following…
Step 1: Turn off and unplug the microwave.
Step 2: Take out the screws at the back of the microwave which hold the microwave cover in place.
Step 3: Lift the microwave cover up but not completely.
Step 4: At the left side of the microwave near the power cord, you will see the line fuse. Remove it from the holder.
Step 5: Get a new line fuse and place it in the holder.
Step 6: Reposition the microwave cover and hold it in place with the screws.

Another reason your Sharp microwave won’t turn on may be because of a damaged door latch assembly. To replace a Sharp microwave door latch assembly, follow these steps…
Step 1: Turn the microwave off and unplug it.
Step 2: Open the microwave door.
Step 3: Using a screwdriver, pry out the trim around the door. You don’t need to pry the whole thing out, just enough to gain access to the door latch.
Step 4: Lift the door latch up and take it out.
Step 5: Hook the spring on the door latch to a different part of the door.
Step 6: If the latch itself is broken, drill a hole in the middle and hook the spring there.
Step 7: Reattach the door latch to the microwave.
Step 8: Align the door trim and snap it back into place.
Step 9: Close the microwave door.
Step 10: Plug the microwave back in.
