Step 1: Pull the oven away from the wall to access the rear.

Step 2: To avoid the risk of electrocution, unplug the oven’s power cord from the outlet or switch off the circuit breaker.

Step 3: Get a Philips head screwdriver.

Step 4: Using the Philips head screwdriver, take out the screws which hold the upper back panel of the oven in place.

Step 5: Lift the panel off and set it aside.

Step 6: Disconnect the wire plug from temperature sensor. The sensor is on the right side of the oven’s rear.

Step 7: Take out the Philips head screw which holds the temperature sensor to the oven.

Step 8: Pull out the temperature sensor from the oven and get a new one.

Step 9: Insert the new temperature sensor into the oven.

Step 10: Hold the sensor in place with a Philips head screws.

Step 11: Reposition the oven’s upper back panel.

Step 12: Hold the panel in place with the Philips head screws.

Step 13: Reconnect the power to the oven by switching the circuit breaker back on or plugging the power cord back in.

Step 14: Push the oven back to the wall.

How To Replace Whirlpool Warming Drawer Sensor

Below, we have listed the steps you need to follow in order to replace your Whirlpool oven warming drawer sensor…

Step 1: Pull the oven away from the wall.

Step 2: To avoid the risk of electrocution, unplug the oven’s power cord from the outlet or switch off the circuit breaker.

Step 3: Open the door of the oven.

Step 4: Using a Philips head screwdriver, take out the screws underneath the oven’s front panel which hold the metal cover in place.

Step 5: Set the metal cover aside and take out the screws which hold the panel itself in place. There is one screw on each side.

Step 6: Lift the control panel assembly up. Support the control panel with something so that the wires aren’t strained.

Step 7: Take out the three Philips head screws at the front of the stove top which hold it in place.

Step 8: Go to the oven’s rear and take out the two screws underneath the corners of the stove top.

Step 9: Lift the stove top off and set it aside.

Step 10: Flip the locks on the door hinges forward with a flat head screwdriver.

Step 11: Close the door till it can’t go any further.

Step 12: Lift the door up, tilt it in, and remove it.

Step 13: Set the door on a cloth lined surface.

Step 14: Take out the screws which hold the right side of the stove top elements’ support bracket to the side panel. There are two screws.

Step 15: Go to the oven’s rear and take out the screws which hold the left side bracket in place.

Step 16: Set the bracket aside and take out the screws which hold the oven’s side panel in place.

Step 17: Lift the side panel off and set it aside.

Step 18: Lift the insulation up and disconnect the wire plug from the blue warming drawer sensor wire plug.

Step 19: Pull out the oven’s bottom drawer and lift the rack out.

Step 20: Using a pair of pliers, pull back the side rails and lift the warming drawer out.

Step 21: Look underneath the oven, you will see the sensor on the right. Take out the screw which holds the sensor in place.

Step 22: Remove the sensor and get a new one.

Step 23: Position the new sensor in the oven and hold it in place with the screw.

Step 24: Reconnect the wire plug to the sensor.

Step 25: Position the warming drawer on the side rails and push it down.

Step 26: Place the rack back in the warming drawer.

Step 27: Slide the warming drawer back in.

Step 28: Reposition the oven’s side panel and hold it in place with the screws.

Step 29: Return the side bracket on the oven’s rear and secure it with the screws.

Step 30: Return the two screws which hold the stove top element’s support panel to the right side panel.

Step 31: Place the stove top back on the oven.

Step 32: Hold the stove top in place with the two screws at the rear corners and the three screws at the front.

Step 33: Reposition the control panel.

Step 34: Hold the panel in place with the two Philips head screws.

Step 35: Reposition the metal cover underneath the control panel and hold it in place with the screws.

Step 36: Lift the oven door and position the hinges back into the slots in the sides of the oven.

Step 37: Open the door fully and flip the hinge locks back to hold it in place.

Step 38: Shut the door.

Step 39: Plug the oven’s power cord back in or switch on the circuit breaker.

Step 40: Push the oven back to the wall.
