Frigidaire Oven Door Lock Stuck — How to Fix
If your Frigidaire door lock is stuck, the lock motor is probably faulty. Below are the steps for you to follow in order to replace the door lock motor in a Frigidaire oven…
Step 1: For safety, unplug the oven’s power cord or switch the circuit breaker off.
Step 2: Pull the oven away from the wall.
Step 3: Take out the screw under the oven’s lower back panel with a quarter inch nut driver.
Step 4: Take out the other screws which hold the lower back panel in place. There are six screws.
Step 5: Push the lower back panel down and remove.
Step 6: Set the panel aside.
Step 7: Disconnect the wires from the door lock motor.
Step 8: Take out the two screws which secure the door lock motor using the quarter inch nut driver.
Step 9: Tilt the door lock motor inwards to remove it from the rod.
Step 10: Get a new door lock motor.
Step 11: Position the door lock motor on the rod.
Step 12: Hold the door lock motor to the oven using the two screws.
Step 13: Connect the wires to the door lock motor.
Step 14: Reposition the oven’s lower back panel and hold it in place with the six screws.
Step 15: Return the other screw under the panel.
Step 16: Reconnect the oven’s power.
Step 17: Push the oven back to its usual position.

Frigidaire Oven Won’t Close All The Way — How To Fix
If your Frigidaire oven won’t close completely, the door hinges or door seal may have gone bad. Below we show you how to replace these two components in a Frigidaire oven…
1. Door Seal
Follow the steps below to replace the door seal or door gasket of your Frigidaire oven…
Step 1: Unplug the oven from the outlet.
Step 2: Open the oven door.
Step 3: Pull out the ends of the door gasket from the bottom of the door. If you can’t pull them out, the door will need to be disassembled.
Step 4: Flip the lock on each door hinge forward with a flat head screwdriver.
Step 5: Close the door till it stops.
Step 6: Grip the sides of the door and lift the door off. Do not lift the door off by the handle.
Step 7: Set the door on a sturdy surface lined with a cloth.
Step 8: Take out the four screws at the bottom of the oven door.
Step 9: Take out the other two screws which hold the door handle in place.
Step 10: Separate the inner door from the outer one.
Step 11: Set the outer panel aside.
Step 12: Remove the door handle.
Step 13: Also remove the screws on each side of the inner door assembly which hold the door hinges in place.
Step 14: Set the door hinges aside.
Step 15: Flip the inner door assembly over.
Step 16: Take out the screws which hold the brackets of the inner door glass. There are four screws in total.
Step 17: Remove the inner door glass and brackets.
Step 18: Take out the screws which secure the metal panel covering the other inner door glass.
Step 19: Remove the panel.
Step 20: Pull out the door gasket.
Step 21: Get a new door gasket and push the clips in.
Step 22: Push the ends of the gasket into the door.
Step 23: Screw the metal panel back into place.
Step 24: Return the other inner door glass and brackets.
Step 25: Hold the brackets in place with the four screws.
Step 26: Screw the door hinges back to the door.
Step 27: Reposition the door handle and hold it in place with the screws.
Step 28: Secure the inner door to the outer one with the screws.
Step 29: Lift the door and position the hinges back in the slots in the oven.
Step 30: Open the door fully and flip the hinge locks back.
Step 31: Shut the door and plug the oven back into the outlet.

2. Door Hinges
If replacing the door seal doesn’t fix the problem, the door hinges should be replaced. Below we show you how to replace Frigidaire oven door hinges step by step…
Step 1: Turn off the oven’s power supply by unplugging the oven’s power cord from the outlet.
Step 2: Open the door of the oven.
Step 3: Flip the clips on the door hinges towards yourself with a flat head screwdriver.
Step 4: Close the door till it stops.
Step 5: Hold the sides of the oven door and lift it off.
Step 6: Set the door on a sturdy cloth lined surface with the front side down.
Step 7: Take out the four screws at the bottom of the oven door using a Philips head screwdriver.
Step 8: Take out the other two screws at the top of the oven door which hold the door handle in place.
Step 9: Remove the door handle and set it aside.
Step 10: Lift the inner door off the outer one.
Step 11: Take out the screws which hold the door hinges to the inner door. There will be two screws on each side.
Step 12: Remove the door hinges.
Step 13: Get new door hinges and position them on the inner door.
Step 14: Hold the door hinges in place with the screws.
Step 15: Lift the inner door and position it on the outer one.
Step 16: Reposition the handle on the door and hold it in place with two screws.
Step 17: Return the four screws at the bottom of the oven door.
Step 18: Lift the oven door and insert the door hinges into the slots in the oven.
Step 19: Lower the door and flip back the clips on the door hinges.
Step 20: Shut the oven door.
Step 21: Plug the oven’s power cord back into the outlet.

Step 6: Take out the three screws at the top of the oven which hold the support panel of the stove elements.
Step 7: Lift the support panel and elements.
Step 8: Hold the panel up with a thick piece of wood.
Step 9: Take out the two screws at the front of the oven which secure the door latch.
Step 10: Lift the door latch and remove it from the rod.
Step 11: Get a new door latch.
Step 12: Insert the rod into the new door latch and position the latch at the front of the oven.
Step 13: Hold the door latch in place with the two screws.
Step 14: Remove the piece of wood.
Step 15: Lower the panel with the stove elements.
Step 16: Hold the panel in place with the three screws.
Step 17: Lift the stove top and reposition it on the oven.
Step 18: Return the three screws under the stove top which hold it in place.
Step 19: Close the door of the oven.
Step 20: Plug the oven back in or switch the circuit breaker on.

1. Outer Door Glass
To replace the outer glass of your Frigidaire oven door, simply follow the steps listed below…
Step 1: Unplug the oven’s power cord from the outlet.
Step 2: Open the door of the oven.
Step 3: Using a flat head screwdriver, push the lock on each door hinge down.
Step 4: Close the door till it stops.
Step 5: Grip the sides of the door and lift it off the oven.
Step 6: Place the door on a towel lined sturdy surface with the handle side facing downwards.
Step 7: Take out the four Philips head screws at the bottom of the door.
Step 8: Take out the other two screws at the top of the door and remove the handle.
Step 9: Lift the inner door off the outer one.

Step 11: Wipe off the remains of the outer glass from the outer panel.

Below are the steps you need to follow in order to replace the inner glass of your Frigidaire oven door…
Step 1: Pull the oven away from the wall and unplug the power cord from the outlet.
Step 2: Open the door of the oven.
Step 3: On each door hinge, there will be a lock. Push the lock on each door hinge door.
Step 4: Close the door till it stops.
Step 5: Grip the sides of the door and lift it off.
Step 6: Place the door on a cloth lined sturdy surface.
Step 7: Take out the four screws at the bottom of the oven door using a Philips head screwdriver.
Step 8: Take out the other two screws at the top of the door as well.
Step 9: Remove the door handle and set it aside.
Step 10: Separate the inner door from the outer one.
Step 11: Take out the four screws securing the metal panel which holds the inner door glass in place.
Step 12: Set the metal panel aside.
Step 13: Get rid of any pieces of broken glass.
Step 14: Get a new inner door glass and position it on the door assembly.
Step 15: Return the metal panel and hold it in place with the four screws.
Step 16: Lift the inner door and position it on the outer one.
Step 17: Position the handle at the top of the door and secure it with the two screws.
Step 18: Return the four Philips head screws at the bottom of the door.
Step 19: Lift the door up.
Step 20: Insert the door hinges into the slots on the sides of the oven.
Step 21: Open the door completely and flip back the hinge locks.
Step 22: Close the oven door and plug the power cord back into the outlet.
