Step 1: Unplug the oven.

Step 2: Open the oven door and remove all the racks.

Step 3: Take out the four screws on the back wall of the oven interior which hold the fan cover in place.

Step 4: Now remove the fan cover.

Step 5: Take out the screw which secures the fan blade.

Step 6: Slide out the washer as well.

Step 7: Remove the fan.

Step 8: If the hole in the center of the fan is not round but “D” shaped, you will need to replace it.

Step 9: Get a new fan and position it in the oven.

Step 10: Slide the washer back and hold the fan in place with the screw.

Step 11: Align the fan cover and return the four screws which hold it in place.

Step 12: Return the oven racks.

Step 13: Close the oven door.

Step 14: Plug the oven back in.

If the door lock of your GE oven is making noise, you will need to replace it. To replace the door lock of your GE oven, follow the steps listed below…

Step 1: First, turn off and unplug the oven.

Step 2: Turn the oven around and take out the screws which hold the back panel in place.

Step 3: Now remove the back panel.

Step 4: Note where each wire goes on the door lock assembly then disconnect them.

Step 5: Take out the screws which secure the door lock using a screwdriver.

Step 6: Remove the door lock.

Step 7: Get a new door lock and position it on the oven.

Step 8: Hold the door lock in place with the screws.

Step 9: Reconnect all the wires to the door lock.

Step 10: Reposition the back panel of the oven.

Step 11: Secure the panel using the screws.

Step 12: Plug the oven back in.
