Jenn-Air Oven Error Code F1 — How To Fix

This Jenn-Air oven error code indicates a faulty touchpad or control board. The same applies for the Jenn-Air oven error code F1-7  and the Jenn-Air oven error code F7. Jenn-Air Oven Error Code F1-1 — How To Fix

This Jenn-Air oven error code appears as the result of a faulty temperature sensor or control board. Step 1: Pull the oven away from the wall and unplug the power cord.

Step 2: Open the oven door.

Step 3: Slide out the racks in the oven and set aside.

Step 4: The sensor is on the upper left corner of the oven’s back wall and is held in place with two screws. Take out the two screws which hold the sensor in place using a Philips head screwdriver.

Step 5: Pull the sensor forward and disconnect the wire plug. Make sure the wire doesn’t fall through the oven’s rear when you do this.

Step 6: Take the sensor out of the oven.

Step 7: Test the sensor using a multimeter. If you see a reading anywhere from 1080 to 1100 ohms, the sensor is still good. However, if the reading is far off from this it is faulty. Get a new temperature sensor.

Step 8: Connect the wire plug to the new temperature sensor and push it in.

Step 9: Hold the sensor in place using the two screws.

Step 10: Return the racks to the oven.

Step 11: Shut the door.

Step 12: Plug the oven’s power cord back in.

Step 1: Switch off the oven’s circuit breaker for safety.

Step 2: Open the door of your Jenn-Air oven.

Step 3: Get a Philips head screwdriver.

Step 4: Use the Philips head screwdriver to take out the screws on the sides of the oven’s front frame. These screws hold the oven to the cabinet.

Step 5: Lift the oven out of the cabinet and place on a sturdy surface

Step 6: Go to the oven’s rear.

Step 7: Remove the oven’s rear panel by taking out the screws which hold it in place.

Step 8: Set the panel aside.

Step 9: Disconnect the wires from the cooling fan.

Step 10: Unscrew the cooling fan from the oven.

This error code is the result of an improperly installed oven. If you see this error code on your Jenn-Air oven, follow the steps below to fix it…

Step 1: Pull the oven away from the wall.

Step 2: Unplug the oven’s power cord from the outlet to avoid the risk of electrocution.

Step 3: Go to the oven’s rear and take out the screws which hold the lower panel in place.

Step 4: Set the lower panel aside.

Step 5: Look at the terminal block. Make sure each wire is match to the same color. If the wires on the terminal block aren’t properly matched, unscrew them.

Step 6: Match the wires to the right ones and secure with the screws.

Step 8: Hold the panel in place with the screws.

Step 9: Plug the oven’s power cord back in.
